I don't know if any crossdressing stores, but have had good luck in stores like Dress Barn, Layne Bryant, Cato and even Wal-mart.
The girls in Kohl's were very good on the cosmetic counter

Von Maur (who has the most awesome credit card...no interest:thumbsup: ) in Yorktown has really friendly cosmetics girls, who would be happy to help you out, and if you're afraid to get a make over in a public venue, there's numerous Mary Kay, and Avon Ladies who are TG friendly in the Chicagoland area.

As for clothes, Lane Bryant, Cato, Dress Barn, were already mentioned, but theres also Marshalls, Fashion Bug, TJ Maxx, and the Avenue. The girls there are out to make sales, and are usually happy to help you out.

My wife and I frequent Ross (I think it's Value City in the northern U.S.) and get some great dresses, bras, panties, ect. We bought well over $700 in new formal dresses for $125.

I don't live in your area but I have a litle general advice...

Ulnless you are looking for am M to F makeover specialist you would be better off staying away from "Crossdresser Stores" online and in your town. These places tend to supply low quality merchandise at a high price.

Jst go to a regular store that sells womans clothes. I like Ross, TJ Maxx for name brad clothing at a low price and have nover had problem shoping in drab and taking womans clothes into the mens dressing room.

I live in this area and have had my best shopping luck at Kohls, Value City, Dress Barn, Lane Bryant, Etc. As far as Transformations in Arlington Heights, they are OK, but a little pricy. If you are looking for a makeover and are nervous, Transformations may fit your need. Good Luck!
