Anticipating a dressing day.....

Today is my one day a month where my SO agrees to leave me at home for a day of En Femme.
I am so grateful for the support and act of love, and, I am so sad that she feels unable to stay....
Words that tumbled out as I wrote this morning waiting for her to depart:



Calling into the stars
Way far into the cosmos
Looking for affirmation
Seeking consolation

Today, I claim,
I get to BE
The me I know I have wanted to see

The Me that hides inside
That goes on the ride
From the inside looking out -
Who carries the doubt
That she can be seen, be loved

Beloved

Be

Outsides and insides matching
That's the phrase that always
Catching the recovering folks
Wearing their loose fitting cloaks

Insides matching outsides
Just for today, while the wife is away
Calling to the stars
Begging the cosmos for
Affirmation .....
I am loved as I am

Beloved

Be Seen
Be Me
Be





Time to shave and dress and apply make-up the best I can. Then chores and perhaps a drive or an outing....

Nice poem, I too feel you pain about SO give space yet not wanting anything to do with you while you have it... I dream of the day when my SO and I go on a gal pal date and just paint the town red together. I'll still be her man at other times that she needs me to but I really wish she could have it in her to be girl friends too... at least on some occasions.
