Best time

Is there a recommended best time to take HRT pills? I have prescriptions for spiro and estrodial (sp?).

I would assume you have discussed this with your prescribing doctor. Just like any medications taken. Also discuss any interactions or food types. I now on some meds grapefruit or juice is not recommended.

It's more that spiro is a diuretic and produces urine.

The medications say to take twice a day, nothing as far as how far a part from each dosage.

Now? :D The only consideration I made was in relation to nighttime Spiro. I have gone through multiple bouts of cramps at night and have to adjust. But my dosage was going to have a split where one would be more than the other, so the larger dose is in the morning. This helps the nighttime issues and doesn't bother me during the day.

Like with anything, I'd ask your doctor.

That said, I take my spiro in the morning, and split my estradiol morning/night. I try to take the estradiol approx. 12 hours apart.
