View Full Version : What do you like about you when dressed?

Today I was able to get dressed up. I went to mirror to you at my self. My legs looked good My shape wasn't bad for someone of 68 years. My face was smooth and looking like I was 55. So I felt pretty good about myself. Then I looked at my hands and they looked like someone who had been working in the fields for 80 years digging in the dirt. So now I may have to wear gloves to go out.
So do you have any thing that you feel good about when you dress or is there something you wish you could change?
I know I'm 68 and things get older looking it just kind of caught me off guard today.

The way the clothes cling, or hang on me, the hose and heels, on my long legs, wig, look of the tall GG's I admire. What i don't like much, is huge hands, huge feet, jutting chin, a bit too tall, at six foot six, non female voice.

Hi Glenda:hugs:, Seeing that mature well dressed pretty lady with the lovely blonde wig and multi pierced earrings
standing there in hi-heels smiling back at me in the full length mirror, That's what I like about dressing up. ~~...:daydreaming:...

From a young age I always presented better as a female.
The thin slight build was the killer for me trying to be Mr Atlas. :-)

I love mainly how my bum looks! Considering I think of myself as 'lean & muscular' I do have a very feminine, peachy bum! Looks great in lace knickers and tights!

I like how I look, and I feel more like myself... or at least a window to look at that side.
That IS the point, isn't it?

I really do not get upset about the natural aging process. It's going to happen. I stay away from mirrors. It seems not matter what I do or try to avoid my fingernails are always the victim of doing the manly chores around the house. I just read the obituaries every day. There are too many younger men and women checking out. I'm starting to get those aging spots are my hands and arms. A long sleeve dress would cover most up. There's a lot of scarring from my military service. My legs still look good, especially in hosiery. I love the feel of nylons on my legs and nylon slips and panties on my body.
But, in the long run being en femme makes me mellow.

I'm no beauty queen but I think I look better with my "face" on and I seem to be more relaxed when "dressed".

I think the thing that makes me feel good is when my SO gives me a big smile when I walk in the room transformed :)
She looks me up and down and gives me the thumbs up after all the crashing and banging and screaming "Where's this and where's that and have you seen my...!!!"

I just feel better, calmer, more relaxed and I get more done. But what I like, are my amazing legs. They are great with hose and high heels. Even my wife has said how good they look.

Heck, I'm lucky enough to have my mate tell me how pretty she thinks I am when I have nothing more than a well put together outfit.
It isn't all about transforming. I believe it is more about being yourself and having someone in your life who GETS that.
I'm a lucky girl.

What's not to like? I like how I look when presenting as a woman much more than when presenting as a man. I do wish that I had better looking legs (grin) and was younger.

I like how natural it feels to look at that woman in the mirror. I like how calm I feel. I like the sense that I'm doing something right for me. I can't change how tall I am and even with the best makeup and choice of wardrobe, I still have big hands a brow ridge and chin that doesn't really fit a woman. It's getting to the point that I just don't care about those things, and I'm learning to like that.

Several people have posted the idea of feeling calm and being onself when dressed. I agree completely with this. I feel so calm because being dressed is the real me and somehow is just right and natural. In drab, I feel extremely uncomfortable, and unnatural. This not me and I have to force myself to play a role.

from the waist down...in nylons or lately jean leggings, with heels and toenails done...it just feels so normal and right. BUT...I recently shaved off the caterpillar on my upper lip and all the comments from friends and family that it took 20 yrs off my appearance (none of them know I CD) have made me wish to try makeup for the first time...so anxious! This weekend it happens..whole new feeling about myself, I think I'll like it.

I feel relaxed and very comfortable.
I have caught myself forgetting I was dressed and getting into the car. Then having to come back to my place.
I have not come out to everyone yet.

I feel less tense (if more alert), and completely natural while dressed. I like how the clothes fit on me as well (male clothes sometimes don't!), and how they accentuate and shape my figure.
Of course I feel pretty when dressed. Whether I look the part is a lesser concern, even if the mirror does give some degree of validation. But I can't possibly dress for the mirror / camera alone.
Also, I desperately need to improve my makeup.

I love having long hair and doing different things with it, plus I totally adore jewelry and makeup, and of course subtle use of cologne or perfume.

I'm not passable so I don't look good. For me, I feel like my problems are gone when I'm dressed. I seem peaceful when I'm in a dress.

Physically, I love my smile, my cheekbones (when I smile), my legs, and the way my hair (wig) frames my face. I also love the shape of my body when wearing hip pads and breast forms. I don't like my broad shoulders and chest, my giant man hands, and my hairy arms. But no woman loves everything about herself in the mirror.
Emotionally, I feel so happy I could just burst and I smile so much my cheeks hurt. It all just feels 'right' and I love looking beautiful and letting the girl inside me out.

I've been told that I'm more secure when I'm dressed, and more comfortable with myself. I'm happier and a hell of a lot friendlier.
Eyes with shadow and liner. But I've always been fascinated with women's eyes. They may not look that great to others but I love the way mascara and shadow instantly soften the entire face.
I hate my smile. I don't have a lot of experience smiling and when I do, it looks fake. When I'm not trying to smile, my face looks very masculine.

I almost never smile spontaneously as a guy. I only plaster on a fake smile when posing for photos. But when I get fully dolled up and I see the cute girl in the mirror with the long strawberry blonde hair and the big green eyes, I just love to smile. Being her lights up my heart and lights up my face.

There seems to be a common thread running through the answers, i.e feeling relaxed, feeling calm, feeling like being onself, feeling natural and comfortable, looking better, feeling calmer. This is what it's all about. Other aspects are mentioned but these seem to be among the most common.
We all seem to share common ideas here. The answers here seem to define what a CD is and that it is really a clear cut category.

From my own visual viewpoint, I have beautiful hair, nice breasts, and pretty legs. Jewelry is a replica of what one very pretty woman wore to work, a Cartier tank watch, and matching herringbone necklace and bracelet. I added a knockoff engagement ring too. So I look very much like what I expected to be, at least from my eyes.
The rest has nothing to do with being dressed; I get to be 'me' a lot when I'm out dressed as a guy, and because I'm usually a loner, so I don't have to worry about behaving in ways that would give away what I am; I can be nicer and friendlier to people without letting on that I could be taken advantage of. All too often when I was growing up, male false friends in my life did things to take any advantage of me if they noticed my kindness to other people, and it hurt to know that being nice to people was usually returned with lies, deceit, and taking every chance to cheat me in some way.

There are so many "natural" elements about my personality that come out when I am dressed. Some have been mentioned, smile more, increased engagement with others, fewer defenses, maybe that is more self confidence. I am not always calmer, because I can still get irate with other stupid drivers , but yes overall a more relaxed demeanor. I am liking the way I look more and more, but even early on it seemed I found something inside that had been squelched for a long time.

I know that for me I know I've got great legs and I've always thought I had pretty eyes and so when I'm doing my eye makeup I try to make a point to make them shine. As Krissy says I think my demeanor is calmer and I feel way more confidant as well especially the more I go out.
I can be rather shy as a guy

I do like the 'being dressed' i.e. the feel of the clothing, lingerie, heels. The feel of hair on my neck and shoulders, and longer fingernails. These things bring help bring out my femininity and along with the behaviors of more calm (except when I'm running late for the makeover and still have to get the fingernails on) and certainly more outgoing - I too am more shy and reserved as a guy.
As I've fully dressed more it is less about the dressing (don't get me wrong, I love the dressing and makeup and trying to look my best) but the feeling I have that being dressed gives me. I do desire to get out but more content to spend time at home dressed just to relax, read etc. Things I don't feel to do otherwise.

I'm not passable so I don't look good. For me, I feel like my problems are gone when I'm dressed. I seem peaceful when I'm in a dress.
I too have this problem... my wide hands and adams apple and face is too manly. But when i am alone cross dressed I am happy. I do like though that my legs and butt looks amazing but everything else on up from there is not passable. I feel this is the other reason why I dont go out in public as a CD is because of this. I have so dreamed of looking totally female but I dont know if I could be done up or not to look more sexy and cancel out my male attributes somehow.

Well I'd love to look 25 again. There was a time when I saw a different person in the mirror, when I dressed. That was long ago, I just see me now, a happy contented me. I'm slowly getting older, changing my appearance along the way and that's the way things should be.
I'm told I still have great legs though. :)

When I see a well dressed woman and it makes me have to catch my breath a bit, that's the look I try to emulate. I admire others makeup, what and how they do it and practice to achieve the same look. From my hair to my heels I strive for that same "take my breath away" look I see in other classy women and I think I'm getting pretty close to my vision of myself.

I just like how I look as a girl. Seeing a feminine figure in the mirror is a thrill most of you know very well so I don't think I need to explain so much. Though I'm a little out of shape right now, I used to like ho wy body looked in ladys clothes, I can proudly say I can fit in almost anything, while male suits just dont fit me as well.

I generally feel good about my overall appearance, but wish I was better at makeup.
I always leave room for improvement.
One of the best things that makes me feel good is how much I have improved over the past few years.

I like many things about myself when I am dressed.
I am comfortable with how I look for my age (and my wife tells me I have nice legs). I'm calmer and more relaxed and I enjoy things more. I just find that I'm more at home in my skin this way.
As for changes, well of course there are some things, but then who is perfectly happy with themselves? I'd love to have a full head of long hair and be a bit shorter as well, but then that's not my reality so I will just go with the flow and enjoy what I have.

I look better female than male. One thing I want to improve is my eyebrows. Been starting to work on them. I want to go get a professional makeover and see how to do the brows better.

I think I look better and younger with make up on. I've had a few women complement my make up. Other than that I don't think that I am particularly happy with my other attributes but overall I'm ok with my overall look.

I love the feel of wearing my bra with breast forms (38D) and the silky feeling of my pantyhose. I love the way my skirts hang on my hips and the way I look in the mirror from the neck on down. I don't have a professional wig nor have I tried applying make-up. I do enjoy looking at myself in the full length mirror.

I Love the soft Feminine feeling of being pretty. I may not look pretty, But in my mind I'am as cute as Sally Field.
I dress fully, panties, stockings, Pastel pantygirdle with a matching underwire Bra.
I'm crazy about pretty lace trimmed slips, full or half, depending on my outfit.
I love sitting a Feminine manner and toying in a girlish way with my pretty wig.
I just enjoy the total overall feeling of dressing and acting like a pretty Girl, can't really explain it more.
