I had to think about this question I carry my purse in my left hand.

All of the above. Depending on what I'm doing. If I'm just walking, I carry it on my right shoulder (if it's a handbag, I carry it on my left fore arm). If I'm shopping (or doing things where I'm using my right hand like playing roulette) and looking at things (books, size tags, etc.) I put it on my left shoulder (the handbag stays on my left fore arm). Hmm, almost always on the left shoulder, I'm righthanded if that makes any difference?

I always put in on my left shoulder. My left one is slightly higher than my right shoulder, so I put it on the left one hoping my bag will pull down that shoulder and balance them out a little to make them look the same. I don't know if it really helps or not but I do it anyway. Oh, just for the record, I'm right handed.
