For the first time, I have left my property underdressed. Now, I know for some that it's no big deal. However, I am at work. Work is a very male dominated workplace. The only women here work in the office. There are no women on the shop floor. So here I am, underdressed, shiny clear nail polish, and freshly tweezed brows. I have never felt more comfortable. I am on my way to being me.

Good for you, Rebecca. That is a wonderful feeling. So, elaborate a little. Just panties or full lingerie?

Beware of the Pink Fog. I am happy that you are happy--but--you don't have to tell everyone why you are happy. I remember exactly how you feel . My first time was when I purchased a nightgown and told the SA that it was for me. Enjoy your feminine side--she is so much fun.

This week for me is a light mauve on the toes. Wearing boy undies as my wife did ask me to scale back a bit, but got my ears pierced in compromise deal.

Likewise, my brows are always tweezed.

Panties, bra, and hose. I wear steel toes all day, so no danger is someone getting a peek.

Geez, that reminds me that I want to put some clear fingernail polish on again. I haven't done that for a while. For that matter, I need to put on some color to my toes as well, no one but my wife sees those.

I don't understand. You state your on your way to being you, are you coming out as a CDer or as a TS? So your underdressing is a non issue if you are "outed" at work. If your job is in jeopardy than you may want to rein it in a little in the shop. I too work in an extremely male dominated vocation, I do have the clear nails, pierced ears with studs in and constantly clean shaven which seems to be unconventional these days. I am out in my community and everywhere I go and I could be "caught" by others that I work with and then I'll deal with it, but I don't poke the bear at work. Maybe I'm one of the lucky ones that can call on my male self and not desire to be en-femme while I make my living. Plus there are no femme clothes that would stand up to the abuse, even the under dressings. Good luck though.

Rebecca,

We all start somewhere. I've got to the point that when the situation allows (in the closet) I'll go out fully enfemme. However at the moment the situation barely allows for me to dress at home for more than a few hours in a month. So I to underdress. Only holdups and knickers but it still feels good, gives me a lift and stops me getting the CD DT's. Yep there's a risk to it and that's were being vigilant comes in. It's easy to forget just what you're wearing and risk letting the cat out of the bag.

If you can safely underdress and not put yourself at risk of exposure to your secret then enjoy your time. It's one of those baby steps.
