I joined the forum a while ago , but for various reasons have only been an occasional visitor of late.
I thought I was a classic crossdresser , but now relate more to somewhere in the TS area of the spectrum. I'm in the UK and have already been referred to one of the Gender Identity Clinics by my GP (Doctor) , last august in fact. So i'm waiting and starting to do what I can in preparation.
I had the option of doing a training course as either 'bob' or Rachel a couple of weeks ago. I luckily chose 'bob' , as in retrospect I wasn't quite ready (physically) to do it. I would have had wig/hair problems and working in androgynous (= male) clothes, without make-up would also have been an issue.
Full time is a while off yet, as I desperately want to take my grown up children and my grandkids with me. This is proving to be a rather difficult issue for me at present. So at present it's Rachel for most of the time , and still 'bob' for some other things and when family are about.
I just wish I could carry on leading 2 lives, but it gets more difficult as time goes on.
