In the waiting room

So I'm finally on the road to HRT. I'm sitting in the waiting room in downtown SD (Hillcrest) waiting for my first orientation (pre Dr.) appointment. Then in a week there's my first Dr. appointment, tests then...the start. Thanks to the staff at The Center for putting me in touch with someone who could help.

Got to the Dr office last night (yes the clinic has late night hours), and my blood work was normal. After a few questions I'm officially on HRT.
Went to a pharmacy and pick them up - took my first dose of estrogen last night.
yup that was it... kinda anticlimactic but still exciting enough to make me want get up and workout (I have about 20 lbs to loss). Well time to hit the bike and sweat off a few pounds.

It's very exciting! But still... you're right, a lot of waiting around. Just wait. Several months from now you will suddenly look up and realize just how much has changed. Enjoy! :)
