It was over FB chat. He made a post that I saw as a good opportunity. So I told him. I've known him for 20+ years. All he said was "Well you always did like the idea of wearing a kilt so it's not a surprise." I asked him to not tell anyone and to not think I'm a freak. He said it's safe with him and if I need anything he's there to talk. So I guess it went well maybe.

I still wonder if I made a mistake in telling him. But at the same time would like to go meet for lunch while dressed so he can see me

I once had an opportunity to eat lunch with a CD friend. He ended up taking the day off and asked if I would be uncomfortable if he came dressed. I decided not to. I did not want to be seen eating lunch with a woman other than my wife because it would suggest a relationship. Also, I figure the same conclusion might be made of me with a CD. We met as men for lunch.

It was over FB chat. I asked him to not tell anyone

I see a paradox in those two sentences.
