View Full Version : How "girly" do you get?

Juliana817

When I first started dressing simply slipping into a pair of panties used to make me feel feminine.
Now if I get dressed and don't do my makeup I just don't feel right.
Other than not doing my nails I don't enjoying dressing unless it's from head to toe and a complete transformation.
What about you ladies?

Same for me, Juliana. Head-to-toe, or not at all. I have never been an under-dresser. Only thing I often don't remove is my toenail polish since that's a time consuming, meticulous process that I take great pride in keeping intact.

I keep my press on manicure nails ready to go as the last thing I put on. I have my personal grooming routine down to a science now and can be ready to go out as Patti rather quickly now.

I agree with you. Early on it was just a pair of panties or pantyhose. Now I don't feel right unless I'm fully transformed. Hmmm? Sounds like an addiction when I say it like that. :)

Well Hi Juliana, A lot depends on my mood, I have a lot of items to pick from for my moods, lately Ive been in out and androgynous mode, all girls clothes but after quite a few outings I understand Im presenting well dressed, after a New start, a styled haircut, Im getting a bit of attention , Ive also found I like that! I joined recently, accepting myself after a lot of conflict, Im very happy. Im exploring myself, making new friends and hope to make some outside the forum. I own pretty much anything outside a good wig or makeup so far.

Today I am in my usual stealth mode. Gloria Vanderbilt "Amanda" blue jeans, male denim shirt, blue Vanity Fair panties with matching soft cup bra (unpadded), blue satin cami and womens socks.

Juliana - I am like you. I enjoy being fully dressed. I like to transform myself, experiment with different looks. I can dress very quickly ("Heather-Lite") with make-up in about 15 minutes or take longer to achieve the look I want, especially if I am going out.

I kinda like the tween look, I dress head to toe in clothing from Long Tall Sally but I have a very femme 'Tom boy' look. Now that the days are getting longer and warmer though I'm starting to go all in (bra, big earrings, purse) and as my makeup skills are improving I'm more inclined to use the whole box of crayons!

More to the OP though, I'm "girly" all the time, for me it's how "manly" do I get...I occasionally go crazy and were baggy jeans, chunky shoes, a baggy shirt, and even trim my nails (not that often fortunately ☺ yuk )

If I'm staying at home, I'll wear panties, a bra, forms, thigh highs, flats and lipstick. Its just too much trouble to wear more makeup just for me.

I get as girly as I can. I've been on vacation this week ad aside from a few thing I had to do I was fully dressed all week that's 9 days. And makeup a few times.

When Stephanie comes out to play it's all or nothing with the exception of the nail polish. That's too time consuming to apply and remove. If I don't have a full day to dress, which is at least seven hours I just don't bother. I know there are many who are limited by their circumstances to just "crumbs of time" as I call it. So for me, it's my wig, dress, heels and hosiery, bra, panty, slip and garter girdle to hold up my stockings. And, I really do not have time to stand in front of a mirror and gaze at myself all day. I have too many domestic chores to do while my wife is at work.

It has been all or nothing for me from an early age, being girly was something for me in my 20's before I got married.

I just about always do all or nothing.

The other day I thought I try dressing in full but skip the makeup to see if I would still enjoy it.
Well as soon as I was fully dressed my son came home unexpectedly.
I'll have to try it another day.

Same, all or nothing. I hate that I can't shave my body (not out to my SO) since, as I've read on here before, cding is also a very tactile experience for me and I love smooth legs...I'm also just not an underdressing type of girl, though no knock on anyone who is. But yes, I like it all: make up, nails, jewelry, perfume, wig...all of it!

Unfortunately I don't get the opportunity to go all the way with makeup all that often. I underdress often, I only wear panties any more, unless I have a Dr's appointment. I usually wear tights or pantyhose, and a bra and shaper. Many times I will dress just without the makeup when I don't have the time to apply and remove with some time to enjoy it.

Personally I feel like a female 90% of the time so clothes really don't matter.
I am a tweener most of the time so very andro most people would say but I enjoy going all out 100% female too.

I don't like halfway measures. I go all out when I dress. This also means dressing in really feminine clothes, not the pseudo feminine styls of clothing that a male could easily wear.

I'll start out with just garter stocking then I need to add the bra then it's just not right without the wig then it's skirt blouse heels........then I notice I've got the lipstick on and clipping on some earrings! How does this happen??

On a daily basis, I simply underdress.
When my wife works nights, I wear forms and a nightie to bed.
When I get the chance to be on my own, it's the full thing every time.

For a long time, I only partially dressed in women's clothes and never once fully dressed.

Then one day I did fully dress. And for a long time, it was all or nothing.

Now.... I mix it up. Most days I am partially dressed in women's clothes and two to three times per month I'll fully dress.

I have 2 modes. When at home, I will often dress neck down. Today it's T-shirt, long denim skirt, bra and forms, shapewear and open slides. If I'm going out, as I did 2 weekends ago, it was head to toe with makeup, hat and jewelry.

I prefer all the way, but I will underdress for work when I am able. After many years of only dresses and skirts, I am realizing that I need more casual clothes for blending in while shopping. That chance is coming soon!

When I dress, I dress from head to toe.

When fully dressed I feel so relaxed and no stress.

When I dress I become a woman and have developed becoming very feminine.

I enjoy the feeling of being a woman.

Since I only dress at bed time, it depends on my mood/feelings at the time. Sometimes, it's a simple nightgown; other times, it's a lot more with panties, slippers, "girlie" babydoll PJs, etc.

Hi Juliana, I couple of weeks ago I decided to do an experiment. I dressed completely in woman's cloths, corset, panties, stockings, bra and forms, and low heel loafers. On the outside I wore a pair of woman's black jeans, and a loose fitting woman's blue shirt. I put on my loose fitting winter coat, left to shop at Walmart and the Shop & Save. I do not pass as I have a full beard and a partly bald male head wearing a cap. Absolutly nobody even noticed my cloths or at least nobody said anything or gave me any funny looks. If I had been a woman dressed in a smart business skirt suit and wearing heels, every male in Walmart and most of the women would have noticed her. The way I was dressed, does nothing for me, but is the way I see most women dressed today. If I had my druthers and the courage. I would dress like the business woman.

04-16-2016, 05:08 AM
For me, it depends. If I'm going out en femme, it's obviously all the way. Around the house, it's most of the way -- I may not shave or put on makeup, but I'm more comfy in my comfy clothes. I find that my ladies' shorts and jeans fit me better than my male ones, so' I'll often wear them in male mode when I'm not at work.

On the very rare occasion that I do go out, then A wig is added.
I have never done makeup or nails.

I'm at least a bit girly all the time now, even when primarily presenting as male. (I'm not on HRT, nor have I had any surgeries, but I cross-dress with an aim of passing as a GG).

My ears are pierced, and ever since I got them done in January I've always been wearing at least simple stud earrings. Nothing dangly yet, as I'm not supposed to do dangly earrings until after the first 6 months of healing. Lately it's usually a 3 to 5 mm crystal stud of a color to match what I am wearing, even in male mode. When all out girly, I might switch to more feminine styles of earrings.

Also since January I've had acrylic nails professionally done, so my nails are girly 24x7. Today I got them re-done with crimson polish and gold glitter on the nail edges.

My face, arms and body are always shaved, and no one usually seems to comment on that when I am in male mode.

So, even when presenting male, I have all of the above girly traits, plus I'm under-dressed with silky bikini panties and feminine trouser stockings (knee-high nylons), and most of the clothes I am wearing as a male are more likely to be from the women's department, such as unadorned women's jeans, or unisex t-shirts.

My natural hair is shoulder length and drawn back in a pony tail, though I have male pattern baldness, so there is almost no hair on top. I've been growing it out with the idea of maybe trying a partial wig, to replace what I have lost while having natural hair where I still have it.

===

But when I am feeling like presenting female or wearing obviously female clothes like dresses or decorated woman's jeans, or women's shoes, it's all out. Breast forms, hip pads, wig, every last bit of clothing and shoes and accessories coordinated, and my makeup as perfect as I can get it, with the clothes and makeup suitable to where I will be going. When I step out my door en-femme, I should be able to pass as a GG, or at least as a transitioned TG.

Around the house, when not going out, but having a 'girly day' for my own enjoyment, I might not do the makeup, and I might do without the wig. But I'll have a wig at the ready that I can slip on if I need to answer the door, and I'd at least be properly shaved, so no stubble is showing!

I'm working at it, but I don't have much practice with make up.

PaulaQ
04-17-2016, 03:24 AM
Well, not to brag, but you did ask - I'm a woman and I've had enough surgery that I'm 100% girly all the time, even naked. (No fair, I know...) I usually wear makeup if I'm doing much more than running a quick errand, or if I lack time to do my makeup. If I'm not leaving the house that day, I often skip wearing makeup.

I keep my nails manicured all the time. I basically always wear a dress.

I'm probably less over the top femme than many of you - I can't wear heels for orthopedic reasons. I also probably dress more conservatively than many of you, but I've always been pretty conservative about my appearance.

BTW, I really appreciate the effort so many on the forum, and other CDs I know locally, put into their appearance. I really mean it! A lot of the CDs I know dress better than some of the women - cis or trans - that I know. And while I believe women should be able to wear what they want, I really do like it when someone has put work into their presentation and looks good. Of course, lots of you would probably take shortcuts too if you had to dress every day.

Everything just short of hair and makeup. They are the two things I can't seem to get the hang of so for the sake of just enjoying my dressing time and being comfortable they're on the back shelf for now. If things ever change, and I'm going out dressed, will definitely need to figure them out.

Same for me...I started initially wearing pantyhose and now if I can't shave my legs I don't even like to wear basic things, even though they feel nice...making an exception this week as I need to get a bit of practice walking in heels again before an outing on Saturday after a long drought :).

In my case when I think about dressing I look at or think about a particular item of clothing and say to myself that would look silly on me or too girly , but when I actually put on the first article of clothing I'm all girl and theresnoturning back and I feel perfectly comfortable from that point on with any clothing or makeup etc.

I also love to be fully dressed when I get the opportunity. But those opportunities are getting fewer and farther apart. Lately I have taken to underdressing to help satisfy my dressing passion. It helps but it is no where near as delightful. I love being a girly girl.

I've never gone all the way to manicure or pedicure at all. That said, I minimally require a wig, a bit of foundation and lingerie. As far as clothing goes, I go anywhere from a tube top and running shorts, all the way to a slinky evening gown, depending on whether I decide to take photos or not. I don't get to dress on a regular basis, so I won't really go too far with it yet.

I go all the way, but I usually go for the outward appearance, so the wearing of panties and bra are not such a big thing for me, but more the femme look... So yes I spend a good hour or more with make-up, then nails, don my wig and the dress.

I think all of us started off simply enough....wearing panties, pantyhose, stockings etc. Having been more of a fetish crossdresser for a good part of my earlier years, being "fully dressed" was when I was wearing a corset, stockings and panties. I never wore 'outerwear' like dresses. Or even shoes. Didn't own any, either. But over the last 10 years, I have gradually changed from that, and now own a fair number of skirts and dresses, blouses and tops. Today, I dressed fully in a casual long-sleeve black dress, with panties, nude pantyhose, clincher, slip, and bra underneath. Heels. Short brown wig. At the moment, that's "fully dressed" for me. I don't have the patience for makeup.

I am still not wearing anything Feminine on the outside except at home, I do have a Lounge and yoga pants that I wear in the yard, I don't wear make up or wigs or paint my nails. I stick stricly to under clothings : bras, pantyhose, slip and one garter, planning on getting a skirt soon.

A bra, panties and stockings used to be enough, but not anymore. Sometimes wearing a pair of panties under the jeans is fun if that is all I can do, but getting completely dressed up is what I prefer. Crossdressing became the most satisfying when I started to wear wigs, makeup and outer clothing such as blouses or skirts. I know I will never pass but getting as close as I can to appearing like a female is the pinnacle of crossdressing for me.

100% all or nothing for me. I'm into a pretty naughty look so i love rocking stripper heels, with sexy panties and bra and clubbing dress with wig and full face. I love fake nails and a good red pedicure.

Depends on my mood, and whether I am in the pink fog...but underdress most of the time..

KrisCDAZ
05-16-2016, 12:00 AM
I have gone back and forth. At first, it was underdressing only, and with stuffing in the bra if I was alone; as I progressed it was the whole enchilada. But I got to the point where it was enough to wear panties under everything and that really helped me stay in touch with my feminine side. Four years ago I went through a major, complete, tragic purge so had nothing; however, I am building back again, starting with bra and panties. I prefer to wear more female clothing, but still have not worked back to makeup, wigs and breastforms; so for me what I can get is working for me.

I'm curious how often the ladies who say they need to go "all out" when dressing get the opportunity to transform. Is there a place where the "opportunity to dress" line crosses the "completeness of dressing" line on the graph chart.

I live alone, and work out of a home office, so although I'm not Out to my family, neighbors or business associates, I pretty much can dress the way I please 24/7 on most days. As a result, I seldom go to the "full dress" stage.

I always feel mostly Fem, since I shave my body, arms and legs smooth twice a week, tweezer my eyebrows, and wear earrings, a wig, and light makeup all day most days. But, I wear unisex shorts, Levi's 501's, sweatshirts and tees, and not pantyhose, bra/forms, dresses/skirts, heels, or baubles, bangles and beads in the course of an ordinary day. Nor do I use concealer, foundation, and cream makeup often. Just eyebrow pencil, eyeliner and eye shadow, plus lipstick, and a bit of pink powder on my cheeks.

I wish I could paint my fingernails and toenails, but I cannot due to business, so the idea of being fully dressed would definitely include those items because I seldom get the opportunity.

I'm mainly an underdresser - 24/7 panty wearer, a bra (with forms) when I can. I've gone out fully dressed on occasion, but never a skirt or dress. More than often I save the fully dressed moments for when I'm alone at home. I've never done make-up or wigs, but I'd not rule anything out for the future.

I kind of live partially feminized just with my typical everyday self. I shave everything or at least keep myself well trimmed, so no body hair and I keep my eyebrows tidy without them being noticeably shaped at all. I don't lift weights, I'm in shape but still really slim and not really defined at all. My hair is what I'd call neck length right now, it hasn't been cut like a bob but it's tidy and similar.

When I dress up I like cute semi casual clothing, so I don't quite have to be dressed up to wear it and feel feminine. So I guess I usually get girly, but it's not as often I'll apply a full face of makeup and get fully dressed, I'd like to do that alot more though.

I always keep my toenails painted as it just doesn't look right to wear them any other way now. Pretty much replaced all of my boy underwear with female atire apart from some more moderate halfway see through or net style ones and most of the time either have stockings, pantyhose or at least colored ladies sport socks. During work days I go for camisoles or some of the many girly t-shirts I have picked up in thrift stores under my work shirts and pants. Nighttime its great to get rid of the work cloths and pick out and outfit to relax in. I don't really plan on anything particular, although its a good way to beat the bordom of traffic thinking what I will wear so I just enjoy the wind down of the work day, step into Suzy's room and just see what works for that moment. I may try on a few things, open a bottle of wine and paint my nails before preparing dinner. Some days its all out foundation wear, sexy dress, top, shoes, hair and light makeup. Other days its more casual, jeans and a t-shirt. However its always jewelry, forms and perfume. I'm lucky to work from home each week so Thursday night is all out, body shaved, relaxing bath, soothing face mask, lots of TLC and pampering, painted or false nails. I keep my eyebrows minimal and over time started to shape them them. I pretty much stay in the same routine till Sunday. If I am going out I just remove the polish or nails and makeup or just keep it very toned down. I did have a recent emergency hospital stay and my blue and silver toenails caused a few nurses to smile when they noticed them but thankfully no one made any comments. We have one life so be yourself and enjoy it.

I agree with the statements that its most enjoyable to go all out from head to toe or its just doesn't feel right but like any gg sometimes you just want to throw on something casual and not have to spend and hour with makeup. Either way I just go with how I feel at the time. If only I didn't have to shave. Thats the part that I least enjoy and struggle with, finding a clean shave that covers well with makeup yet doesn't look caked. I pretty much know as soon as I start to shave if the evening/day will be a transformation or not. If its going well and I get a good smooth shave then its game on, if not them I might just not dress that day. I don't style my hair particularly feminine but I do enjoy the freedom of wigs because sometimes you feel like a blonde, other days a brunette and its nice to have options.

I am fortunate that my draw, then 'closet' for Suzy has grown into a room so always have everything on hand however I feel like dressing. I mostly find that once I set foot into that room its all the way and especially over the last 18 months my girl clothing has far overtaken my boy clothing (especially shoes) to a point that unless I start buying replacements I will not have any other option lol! I really want to pierce my ears so I can enjoy earrings that don't pinch or look strange but as accepted as it is now it feels a bit odd to walk into the office one day with pierced ears when I have none previously.

If I go out en femme I stick to foundation wear, light makeup, jeans, top, jacket and tennis shoes or low heels even if I have a wig and feel like I would pass. I keep the fun and more interesting clothing for the house for now.

I just think its important to dress at a level that you are comfortable with and to enjoy what makes you happy.

For me it's the same. At the beginning, for years, I just wear women panties, but then, you know, we need more, so once I dress fully with make up and wig, just for a couple hours. I didnt have my owns shoes, so everything was from my wife, even her small shoes, a platform sandals.
But then it wasn't enough. Every moment I could have to try her stuff it was delicious for me.
Today that she knows, during the day i use panties made for men but for gay, so little thongs or semi covered in the back but with room in front foe the bulge.
Every night when I get home, if I didn't tuck during the day I tuck and wear sexy panties. Sometimes I wear a miniskirt, high stockings, bra with breathtaking forms, a blouse, no make up yet,no wig.
I daily shave my lower legs, pubis, arms, srmpits, chest, back and every 5 or 6 weeks I depilate my upper legs.

I only like to be a girly girl always head to toe. Full dress up mode with heels, makeup, wig, and nails. Having said that, my dressing has been so infrequent lately, when given the chance to dress without makeup and wig, I have had to do it. But it is just not the same.

Interesting question! I used to be all about "the 'frillier', the better!", but these days I kind-of dress how I feel :-) Most of the time I'll do "just enough" makeup to get a smooth, feminine look, and then toss on a pair of shorts/jeans and a casual shirt. Much like a typical GG would do, I suppose. Now, I *do* love getting all dolled up, but I typically reserve that for when I have ample time to spend dressed that way.

I usually stick to just panties and maybe a bra. On occasion I'll get entirely dressed though. That's only when I have a lot of time and unfortunately that doesn't happen very often at all.

It's either completely Tina, or it's not Tina at all. For me, my mind just doesn't understand what I would be if I were "in between".

In fact, the only time I'm at all uncomfortable being seen by anyone is when I'm in transition. That "in between" time is complicated because my mind is transitioning at the same time that my appearance is changing. It really is a matter of mental perspective.

I also should say that I really enjoy the separation of my two gendered selves! They are virtually different people and it's so interesting watching Tina evolve as sh come to grips with the kind of life she wants to lead.

Don't always do make up and nails due to time but get fully dressed even if just in some skinny jeans and comfortable top. For me nails since I see them if I'm not interacting with others is more important then makeup. But makeup outside of some real basics is still a mystery to me.

Just dress in the clothing for the feel, a personal thing. No one really wants to see me like this. To go any further with makeup, hair, nails, padding, tucking, etc would be, for me, COSTUMING, which I would not mind doing, but really have no occasion to do.

Usually its all or nothing, but sometimes just wearing panties, bra, and petticoat will be enough for me when time is limited.

I usually confuse clerks.

Painted nails (all 20), I might be wearing boy shorts, I might be wearing a cami or t-shirt (or both). I just don't care what they think, I'm just ME.

Every now and again I get positive comments about my nails or clothes. I have *never* gotten hate comments. Either because I'm a GD moose or because civilization. I hope it is because civilization, but I live in MA. I'm an East coast hippie.

At beginning, I could just wear heels and enjoy it.
Now, it is always all the way even if sometimes I don't do my nails (it takes a lot of time and it's not my favorite part) .

I can be as girly as I want or rather as much as I can without "coming out" - last night I was very girly (stockings, lingerie, long dress, make up & perfume) today under-dressing to go to the shops.

I can be anywhere between just underdressed and being dressed to the nines. Im not out, so i underdress to work and when I get home, its nice to just throw on a skirt or dress or my pink PJs and relax. Sometimes i might put on some lipstick too. When i decide to do full makeup though, it has to be perfect and that takes time. Time well spent, but not always available. Nothing compares to being dressed to the nines though.

I use to be that way .... head to toe.

But now if I have hip pads, corset/slimmmer and attached forms ... it almost does not matter.

To feel like I have a female body is good for me.

When Amanda is here it is all or nothing. Just wearing a bra or panties only just does not help the urge to dress. It does calm it a little bit when I have no other choice but to underdress.

I started with just underwear. Now I prefer all or nothing (except nails & shave legs). I like the way makeup makes me look & feel. Sometime when I am rushed, just an outfit will do.

Juliana, I am exactly the opposite. When I first started dressing, I felt like I had to do the whole thing or nothing. Head to toe.

Now, not going out much, I often just do my hair, keep my body hairless, keep my nails painted and often just wear a T-shirt and panties.

With oly having a limited amount of time to dress i am more than happy with what ever i can fit in to my couple of hours a week and just putting panties on after work some times is enough and then others its full on am still practiceing with make up etc and dont have a wig or heels so when i say full on its not a full transition if you know what i mean

That's about the same with me. I like just wearing the clothes around the house, but have no desire to go further with wig, makeup, etc.

I go all the way.
Shave (all), make up, eye-lash extension, nails (instant glue on), wig, forms, lingerie, dresses, high heel sandals, jewelery,
perfume ect.
Recently I have discovered body glitter. Applying a small amount to my whole body really makes my skin glow.

I've a very understanding GF, so when I get home from work I change into Kathy. I occasionally wear make up and shoes during the week at home. At the weekend I do my nails, make up and wear a wig

Since my opportunities are limited, I need to be 100% girly when I become Sarah. Anything short of that is disappointing. This includes make-up, all of my clothing, nails, wig, jewelry and any other little detail. The Sarah I see in the mirror after I am done must be convincing inside and out.

I always go as far as possible. Which means, after every few months or so, I'm going a lot farther than earlier, because I've learned new things, got better clothes, or changed something physically about me (mostly weight loss).

I love to feel super girly, and while girly clothing is my license to feel girly- I'm finding I can now feel it all even in boy clothes, which I am very grateful for. It is obvious that women spend a lot of time in pretty drab clothes, and don't lose their permission to feel, so I realized this could be true for me too. But I do switch to girly clothes as soon as I can so I am not depriving myself unnecessarily !

As the song says, "All or nothing at all". I just finished polishing my nails. New dress. Wearing the first time. I may have to go out. I'm totally dressed today. medium length wig to 3" pumps. AND Hanes thigh highs. I know few women wear nylon stockings or pantyhose...but they looks so nice and feel great.

It really depends on where my gender slider is on a given day. Generally I don't go full on femme because I don't usually feel 100%, and even then I don't go super girly. No makeup, no frilly stuff, etc. Lately it's a blouse, bra, forms, and pants.

That said, lately I can feel feminine regardless of my attire and I can feel manly regardless of what I'm wearing too. I dress to match my mood, but I don't need to dress to feel right anymore.

It's all about relaxing and being my self. I usually go for full make up. But it's not a must. I can happily just put on female clothes and a bit of lippy pop on some ear rings and enjoy my day. Full make up or nay I feel as girly as girly can be when dressed.

I'd love to have the time to get 100% girlie, but only rarely get to do this. As I am married and my wife barely tolerates my cross-dressing, it's usually a case of just wearing a silk slip and maybe stockings and lace undies. I don't wear my good gear in front of her, as sadly it upsets her. I wish more than anything that one day she will become a bit more understanding and tolerant of my needs.

I am male...32 yrs...slim and fair.
I enjoy cross dressing
I brought some lingerie stuff.I wear it ...it just turns me on.
but keep on changing the lingerie and watch myself in mirror
I look great in that stuff.
I have also taken selfies...When I am in this activity ....I am completely in different mood.
I am straight....but still I love it

Full on, top to toe. Makeup, underwear, wig, clothing, shoes. If I don't look like a girl it's not worth the time spent for me. Hence I don't get to dress that often.

Normally I am way too busy to do anything more than half ass makeup and a casual outfit (bra, yoga pants, shirt, wig, clip ons, and lipstick or just a dress with makeup). When I get the chance or I plan to have a girls weekend then it is game on.
