I saw my surgeon on Wednesday for my last check in before surgery. They moved my date one day to Friday May 13th. SRS and BA on Friday the 13th! They gave me all of my instructions and also my prescriptions. It made it all very real! I always thought there was no way I could ever be able to do this. 4 weeks from today it will happen. I have to admit I am beginning to get a little frightened thinking of the recovery. I have never had any surgery or been hospitalized for physical condition. On the 14th I will turn 51 in the hospital. I almost timed it perfectly.

As someone we know might say... This shit is going to get more real real quick. Smile... I know you're ready and I know you'll be good but really Friday 13th... Seriously... That's like the 13th floor in a hotel.

Going to be there in spirit for you.

All my best Suzanne!

Best wishes for a speedy recovery. To be truthful, the meds (bring something to read in the bathroom) needed the night before surgery are just about the worst thing of the entire procedure, I am sure you will do great after that.

Suzanne,

Just relax and you will be fine. Let me know what to look out for 9 weeks later.

4 weeks..... So cool!!! Go enjoy a game, rock the marathon, and then you can spend 3 1/2 weeks overthinking (you know you will). I am smiling ear to ear. Wish I could come visit, but we may just have to wait a few months.

Hi Suzanne,

I can only imagine your mix of excitement and fear . . . I guess it is like running a marathon . . . keep your eyes on the distance and head for the finish line. BTW . . . good luck on your run in a few days.

Cheers

Marcelle

Suzanne, may you have another 51 years as a woman. And I know one can live a full life as a woman without surgery, as a number here do, but there's obviously something very special about physical completion. I'm so happy you will be having this experience.
