Have you ever had the fantasy thought of you would like to be out and about and see/recognize another CD where you were both shopping in the ladies department and you looked up, your eyes met and locked on to each other and you knew you were both Cd's? Either of you could be underdressed, underdressed and some outer clothing being female or all out female. You would be sure, there would be no mistaking the other person for a GG, would you just keep shopping, slowly walk over and give a compliment to get a dialog going or let the opportunity pass and maybe regret it later?

Or the reality of when you go out you look for another crossdresser and see where it goes?

I would no doubt smile, comment on what we were looking at and take it from there. I talk with my GF about looks, clothes and makeup all the time and neither one of us misses a beat. :)

Why does it have to be a fantasy, for all you know it may have already happened another CDer could have spotted you !
There is no reason why you can't shop with another CDer dressed or not. I'm still not sure how I feel about that.

As for approaching another, this question often crops up, I guess you have to consider the circumstances, as it's been said in the past be careful she may be a CDer or TS and may not take lightly to being told she passes well !

Before my social meetings when about 45 turned up I had seen a two, one in SF boarding a cable car and once in a grocery store in the English lake district, she was very nervous while waiting in the check out line, I did feel for her !

I talk with whoever in the ladies section dressed or not.
I may ask if a top goes with a bottom and ask their opinion.
Could be a man or woman and if they were a CD I'm sure they knew I was.

I have met 100's of CD/TS, etc. dressers. In T friendly enviornments where we were free and open to discuss whatever we liked. That's where I socialize.

When I'm out shopping, that's what I'm there to do.

I've had most of your fantasy as reality. I saw what appeared to be a CD shopping with her wife. I gave the wife the discount coupons I had since I didn't see anything I wanted. Many times I've given coupons to GGs.

Last week I was on the other side of town buying some pop for a meeting and there was a girl there also buying cases of pop. She was dressed in jeans and a blouse with a light jacket, tall with long blonde hair with bright red highlights and the ends, good makeup. To me she was very clearly somewhere on the CD to TS spectrum, and I really wanted to say hi. But...i didn't, and I am kind of glad I didn't, especially since I was in drab mode. It would have been...awkward?

I'm with ThereseW. When I shop I'm in male mode and if I spot a CD I just make like I didn't clock them. I came face to face with a CD probably 20 years ago in the ladies dept. and I scared the hell out of her because she could tell by the look on my face that I clocked her.

At this point I've met plenty of other crossdressers and the novelty has passed. But I might have had that fantasy when I was younger.
