Me and Mothers' Day

I was out and about with another transwoman friend yesterday (May 8 - Mothers' Day) and we were both wished "Happy Mothers' Day!" to which we replied with thank yous.

I had a similar experience a few days before Mother's Day. I was in-line at Kohl's and struck up a conversation with another woman. She asked me if I was a mom and I replied yes. Then she wished me a Happy Mother's Day and I did likewise. We talked about our children for a few minutes then it was time to go to the register and pay.
