My wife and I were shopping at Walmart yesterday. While waiting on line to check out a few things that we purchased.
I notice what had to be a CD or TS out for maybe the first time. She was dressed with too much makeup and her clothes were way to fancy for shopping.
In her cart was makeup, blouses, a skirt and some lingerie. The most important thing I noticed was she is shaking and looked totally scared.
I wanted to help her without making her upset. But was not sure what to do. I though she might fall down she was shaking so much.
My wife watched her for about a minute. Then told me to stay in line and pay for what we had.
She moved over to her and whispered. Need help dear. The person talked so low I could not hear what was being said.
My wife introduced herself to her.
I was shopping with Gerri over there and she pointed at me. (My wife told me most of what happened after we were at our car.) I'll stay with you until you pay at the casher. My wife told her that she saw how nervous she was and thought it might make it easier if she stood with her). I noticed that she stopped shaking as much as she was before.
After paying We all meet outside the store, before going our separate ways (Karen that was her name) Told us that she felt like she was going to faint. She was so scared. My wife told her that I was a transexual post op.
We gave her our card with names phone email etc. Hope she calls us, she seemed like a sweet person.

How sweet to have helped in that manner. Hopefully Karen will enjoy her purchases and feel more relaxed next time.

In a way it is too bad that this thread is not in the general forum so people will see that everyone cares and will come to the aide of those who are just trying to get out and survive. Your wife deserves two medals...one for helping and one for helping you!

Bless your heart for helping that terrified lady. I'm a veteran but the bravest thing that I ever did was when I went out public for the first time dressed and made up. You could have heard my knees knocking. ..........Leanne

What a kind thing to do! A mentor of mine always said "If we don't help each other nobody else is" l have always taken that to heart. A little kindness can go a long way.
