If you could chose any female voice to sound like, who would it be? I would go with Betty Boop.

I already do a good Donald Duck, and can sing baritone (poorly), but would love Marni Nixon's singing voice. But Audrey Hepburn's voice would be fine. Marni was the real singing voice behind many musicals which put famous faces in the role, including the singing voice of Eliza Dolittle in My Fair Lady. I'd take Barbra Steisand. I'd take just about any female actress.
Hugs, Ellen

Wow so many to choose from. Emma Stone, fell in love with her voice in Easy A. Florence and The Machine? The singer on Pink Floyd Great Gig In The Sky? Annie Lennox of the Eurythmics? PINK? SO So so many.

Nobody's opted for Kathleen Turner yet

Laura Esterman. She's a voice actress who played in a Sci-Fi radio show called The Adventures of Ruby (from ZBS productions.) I would give almost anything to have a voice like that. You can get a little taste of it here: http://www.zbs.org/index_new.php/store/product/ruby-1-the-adventures-of-a-galactic-gumshoe-mp3 ;)

I think that I would go with the voice of Poison Ivy from batman the animated series the 1990s version, with Harley Quinn as second choice from that same series.

Laura Prepon (Donna Pinciotto from That 70's Show)

this is a tough choice, I love both voices : Taylor Swift and Rachel Platten, but I have to give the nod to Rachel, she has an absolutely beautiful singing voice.

I do a good Porky Pig, and Popeye, but i guess i would like to have A Maude Beatrice Arthur manly feminine voice. I look slightly like her in my gray wig, and tall.

Mylie Taylor

Since you can't think of one you can have Jennifer Tilley, my second choice and a top shelf kitty
Jennie, Ruby would fit you purrfect, thanks for the link, what a weird, great show.

Gee, this one would give me a great career, too: Linda Ronstadt. Karen Carpenter or Olivia Newton John would be secondary choices. All had fine speaking voices, and truly extraordinary singing ones.

Are we supposed to pick a female singer, cartoon character or a favorite female speaking voice?

Whitney Houston, Olive Oyl and scarlett johansson (in that order)!

Amy Fakley

well ... if we could choose anyone I'd probably go with Marina Sirtis (Councellor Troi from Star Trek TNG -- minus the fake "alien accent") ... she has the most soothing voice.

But on a more "realness" tip: Shohreh Aghdashloo (you may remember her from this (http://24.wikia.com/wiki/Dina_Araz))
Seriously check this voice out: https://youtu.be/kAKJoEO21s0?t=30s

it's actually in a lower register than mine. If I could figure out how to do what she does with hers, I'd never have a problem passing again!

Sarah Michelle Geller. If there is one girl I ever wanted to be it was Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

Bea Arthur had a deep but feminine voice that I've always liked. I wouldn't complain about Kathleen Turner either. I love Mary Steenburgen's voice and couldn't see it coming from my mouth but I'd be willing to give it a try.

I can't think of anyone special I'd like to sound like but I definitely wouldn't want to sound like Stevie Nicks!

Now that I think about it, as I sit here listening to Pandora Radio there are two singers that I just love their voices. One is Allison Pierce of The Pierce's. The other is Miss Li. Yes, I would like to have either of their voices.

BTW Jennie, it's so unusual to find a girl who likes sci-fi.

Elizabeth Ashley from the Carpet Baggers she has the absolutely sexiest voice it is so raspy and yet smooth. If not her Mary Steenburgen.

Since singing voices are being included and can sound completely different than speaking voices, I'm torn between Christie McVie and Björk. I have noticed my en femme voice, which has is a half octave lower Betty Boop Jersey/Long island finger waving hot mess, has really helped my pitch and volume control when I sing. I also do a a spot on Hank Hill lol.

I just went to a casino and played the "I Dream Of Jeanie" machine and Barbra Eden's voice is an old favorite that I'd forgotten. Her voice, particularly as that character, is a delightful blend of innocence and unconscious sexuality.

T-Boz from R&B group TLC, her voice is husky yet clearly feminine, and slightly sultry. I could co-opt it as a male voice, which my current one is kinda deep and very southern.

If I had to go foreign, Hope Sandoval (who sings on the Massive Attack song "Paradise Circus" which has been used in several TV shows and such) would be my pick. Same reasons. Hefty, breathy, sultry, but very feminine.
