So a buddy of mine says at the end of our department meeting, which ended 15 minutes early, "are you comming to the flag raising?" So I went, and so did two other guys in my 12 person department.

I was looking down and all the women's toes were pretty. So we're mine, but you couldn't tell. About 150 people out of 1000 at the facility were there. I knew about a dozen or so. And the flag went up, the rainbow colors right under the Ohio penant. I made jokes with my buddy, but I couldn't help but feel something inside. Pink fog? Something more? I don't know, but it was pretty cool. The company is in Affinity Inc. Top corporations for LBGT economic empowerment and LOGO'S top trailblazing companies.

You can worry about bathroom laws all day, and there is a problem there, but today I see hope. On a Sunny Tuesday Afternoon.

Love and blessings

Thanks for sharing Meghan, I'm actually planning on attending a q and a meeting about being trans in the workplace at my work in a few weeks. I'm not out by any means at work but feel I want to be a part in some way to see if I can help those in the workplace feel comfortable and just maybe meet people.

M4:

I understand exactly what you mean. A few years back, we (our LGBT employee affinity group) got our company to display the Rainbow flag for the week that contained National Coming Out Day. It was a first!

At some point during that week, I had to go over to the Headquarters Building (Corning, Inc. in Corning, NY) for a meeting, but I had forgotten about the flag. When I exited the parking garage on the way to the building, there it was! I had to stop for a moment to just take it in. A very pretty sight!
