My older daughter lost a tooth the other day. My wife usually falls asleep early, so usually its my job to replace the tooth with money. That night she feel asleep before we discussed it, and the next morning she asked me, "Did the tooth fairy come last night?" I replied, "Yes, she did." Relieved that our child would not be disappointed, she then asked mischievously, "And did she wear a tutu?" "Of course!" I responded, although in fact I did not (that evening, at least). For some reason, this cracked both of us up. We started imagining what would have happened if my daughter woke up and caught me being the tooth fairy, tutu-and-all. The funny thing is she has already seen me in tutu (for a charity drag show), so it actually probably wouldn't be much of a shock to her.

Wow, what a mental image I've got. Would you have wings on and a sparkly wand?
