I was checking out of Wal Mart this afternoon and when the woman infront of me was finishing I began putting my purchases on the check out belt. I noticed a young man (about mid to late 20's) behind me with just 2 items in his hand. I asked him if he wanted to go infront of me, he said, "no go ahead". It was then when I noticed his purchases, two packs of Hanes Her Ways white cotten panties. I notice this becasue I have the exact same panties and recognized the packaging. He then kind of held them so they wouldn't be seen.

I wanted to tell him that I was wearing the excact same panties right then but I had to get ready to check out and I didn't want to embarass him or myself. It kind of makes you wonder how many of us are out there just shopping. By the way we were probably the most manly looking guys in the store, you just can't tell a book by it's cover.

That was you at Walmart ?!?! LOL

Cute story. I do often wonder, who do I know in real life who shares my femme proclivities?

Lately I have found myself looking more and more for others who might have the same inclination as myself, especially while shopping.

Interesting story, I used to be like that young guy, holding stuff in a way that it couldn't be easily seen by other customers; I used to be so embarassed, thank goodness I'm a lot more confident now I'm older.

I think there are many more crossdressers about than the ones we know about.

Yes. Interesting story because it kind of highlights our situation. Because of perceived (and real) problems with letting ourselves be known, we keep quiet and hidden. We hold back in joining in some conversations because it would give us away and other times we make up stories to hide the real reasons we do things such as buying panties. Too bad we can't all have some kind of secret symbol like a multicolored ribbon. But then we would look silly wearing a ribbon on our NASCAR T-shirt.

Do you think it was possible he was buying them for someone else? I have for example been asked to purchase tights and sanitary towels in the past.

Kate

He could have been buying them for some one else but then again he was acting the same way I used to act when I purchased my first panties there. I've gotten better since then.

I knew it wasn't you for two reasons
1) there was no way he could be a pretty as you are
2) he had a goatee

I ran into an aquaintance at Wal-Mart a couple months ago. I had seen him earlier in women's hosiery but had not approached him. When he approached me, he volunteered an explanation for everything in his cart EXCEPT the multiple pairs of black fishnet pantyhose.

I suspect, but as others have said, this is NOT ENOUGH information to make a judgement. Still, I'd like to know, because we could become very close friends if we have so much in common. But how can I ask?

Perhaps he is here reading this post?

He could just be in this forum, and just didn't recognize you. I usually go to Wal-Mart to shop and usually the clerks are nice. They can't give you looks because it can be a BIG!!! Lawsuit!! At least that's what I think. :P

How many wives call their husbands up and say "honey, on your way home from work, pick up a gallon of milk, a loaf of bread, and you know what, I'm out of panties again, better get me a six pack or two. Yeah, right.

I had a neat experience like that in a Publix grocer one night. The guy behind me had some apples, and a package of leggs sheer energy control top in Q. I said to him, wow, she must be tall, he got all flustered besides himself. Didn't mean to put him on edge, but I knew what time it was. This was before internet and all and it let me know I was not alone.

It does make you think I know I felt alone until I found this place and all the great ladies here.
