Well, the months slowly go by, and as I have done since the end of the first month on HRT, I offer my little end of month progress report

To me to date, the most significant change (almost from the beginning) is my peace of mind. I love where I am in my head space, feeling relaxed and not driven by competition of any kind. Some thing unexpected goes wrong and it is just a minor set back or no set back at all. Nothing is a problem and it is a nice way to feel.

Physical changes
Some small breast growth in the past month. Looks like I could be a bit "lop sided" as my right breast is noticeably bigger than the left, but what the hell, if necessary, that can be fixed in the next couple of years by BA

Facial - Been having a mixture of both electrolysis and laser over the past 15 months. Weekly electrolysis is pretty slow, but my upper lip is being concentrated on now. Word of advice from my perspective.. before starting HRT and getting either laser or electrolysis, work on the upper lip first. It is by far the most painful area for me.
Skin continues to soften on my face
I am told by several that my face is looking more feminine, but have not not personally noticed any changes. The "change" people see may have something to do with my hair growth. It is 2 years next month since my last short back and sides.

Rest of body
I have not shaved my chest for weeks, and that area seems to have stopped growing hair - yahoo

Legs: Small amount of hair growth, but because it is winter here in NZ, I have not bothered shaving legs.

Underarms: once again, winter, but only a small amount of growth since last shave about 3 months ago

Shape: no noticeable changes in fat redistribution

Strength: noticing that I am getting weaker - cannot lift or carry heavy items as I used too

I am relaxed knowing (thanks forum members) that this is not a race, and things will or may not happen when they are ready. Every body is different.

Roll on the end of the sixth month

cheers

I don't think there is any more "turning up" of meds

Penny, I'm also at around 5 months of HRT, and I too have noticed I am significantly weaker. Lifting even moderately heavy items is a lot more difficult than it used to be. It's something that I didn't expect to happen so quickly. But I guess it's making me look thinner, because people keep telling me that I look like I've lost weight (I've only lost 5 lbs since I started HRT).

That's fantastic Barbara. I hope I am still feeling as good at 7 months.

Almost makes me sad in some respects, when I see others going through every day struggles for one reason or another.

I daily thank someone for looking after me

That is good Mirya - I suppose it depends on what work one does to how much it affects.

Health wise, I was at a low ebb when I started HRT, and have put on some weight, but am ok with that. I am still lighter than I was 30 years ago
