Putting on a fashion show for my wife

"Baby, I'm going to get my girl on today," I said this morning.

"Go for it," was her response.

In truth, I was going through my closet intent on weeding out little used or out of style clothes but I asked my wife if she would offer her opinion and being the great woman she is, she said sure. I respect her fashion sense and while I have my own, it's nice bounce ideas off of her. The good news is that she found nothing I modeled for her objectionable and as always, I learned a few things: tucking, not tucking, belts, color combos, it's like drinking from a fire hose.

While I showed her several dresses, in the end, I was wearing a casual white T-shrit and tribal print black/white skirt. It's warm here in Boise now and casual usually means cool. I also got a new wig and have not had it cut yet, but I like the color and the fact that it is lace front. It's too long now, but a hair stylist will fix that!

Hey Nadine. It's a Jon Renau called "Alessandra" in a Toffee Truffle color.
It's too long, it'll drive me nuts so I'll get it cut to shoulder level sometime soon.

About the length. Long hair is a pain to drive with, walk in the wind, bend over, etc. but, more than that, women of a certain age tend to have shorter hair. I am "of a certain age" where long hair puts me on the far end of the bell curve. Maybe I'll attack it when it starts to friz at the ends and get the best of both worlds

lisa, skirts are a challenge as it requires putting an outfit together. I have written in the past that I really need Geranimals when matching a top and skirt but skirts give you huge freedom in looks. On a hot summer day, this is how many of the ladies are dressed when out.

oh Heidi, we all have too much. And yes, I have something for any occasion. I still have have TWO holiday party dresses in the closet! But I weeded out several things. I'll limit my purchasing to in store and that should help

kim, no truer words have been written. The subtleties of fashion are astounding. I was wearing a white bra under this t-shirt, think white on white is good, but my wife pointed out that a nude bra would not show through. How can this be, white + white HAS TO work, right? Wrong. Nude works.

Love the look, Keep the hair long for awhile and enjoy. So nice to have options with wigs but once cut the darn thing does not grow back. I have had one wig I wanted to trim when i bought it. never got around to it and have enjoyed the length since. can always trim anytime. What a wonderful wife you have!
