That first step is always a hard one but you always feel so much better afterwards!

My friend learned first through an unwelcome situation of another friend's girlfriend seeing me in the store but not saying anything to me or me seeing her and then going and telling her boyfriend who told my other friend who asked about it when he drove me home. Don't know who else they told before I asked them to keep quite about it, hopefully noone, but that was also years ago.
Now I recently told one of my sisters and she just laughed about me apologizing for wearing her underwear and actually cleaning s**t stains she put in her underwear out so I could wear them. Hope the rest of the family is as non-caring or receptive.

Don't know what it is about coming out to a lady, but it is so invigorating, and such a turn on too if you know that they will go along with you dressing . The feeling is totally amazing when you have a female that understands, goes along with, participates in makeup, shopping, making a girl feel prettier. SO AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!! Have missed it so much!!!!!!!!!!! THANK YOU ANDREA!!!!!!!:o

I came out to a GG cousin recently, I've visited her dressed a few times now, she's great about it, very open minded and not at all phased by it, in fact she keeps hugging me and telling me she's very proud of me and that she's delighted I felt I could trust her, she's a single mum too with a 17 year old daughter, the last time I visited she was there too, I loved it, so refreshing to sit dressed in company, I'm very happy for you, enjoy your new freedom.

I finally admitted my dressing to my partner a few months ago well she dug it out of me lol the only person to ever know in my 43 years and have to say she has taken it amazingly and is probably more at ease with it than iam since telling her I have never enjoyed dressing so much has opened up a whole new side

It is great to read such a great thread.
I recently came out to a friend. Kind of an interesting dialog.
We both are very actively involved in a church that is totally against LGBT and crossdresser lifestyles.
We were having a conversation and I new that she did not appreciate the churches stance. I asked her about it and she opened up indicating she was Bi, and had an open marriage. I was totally shocked as I am very close friends with her family.
I proceeded to ask a few questions and then told her of my being a crossdresser and bi-curious. It was as if a weight was removed from me. We live in different states and have great conversations to this day.

Hope this helps someone.

I am also one of the lucky ones. But long before I was this lucky I went through the same things of worry and emotional trials and tribulations. I couldn't agree more....them knowing is SUCH a relief! My first wife wasn't real receptive about it but finally came to put up with it and even helped with make up once. She wasn't ever excepting to where she would venture out with me as Joyce. Now my current wife is truly my best friend. She not only accepts but encourages this side of me. The only problem now is finding/making the time to get out!

Since telling that first person it has gotten easier to tell others and I sometimes have to be careful sizing up others before having any conversation on the subject because I often give more info than I should in every day life.

Thanks for sharing...it's nice

She called me a girl today. I didn't notice at first, but when it hit me I just felt good from The inside out.

"You called me a girl," I said.

"You are a girl. Chemically." She said.

I had wore yoga pants to this gas station a girl works at and once I wore a bra that the straps showed a lot through the outside of my shirt. one night she had asked me about another employee that works there. I said I didn't know because if I usually get in there and out quickly because of the clothes I would be wearing. she mentioned that bra and was contemplating asking what kind it was. since then I've been talking to her a lot. and a little bit about clothing too.
after that I've told some female friends and some male friends. they've all been cool with it
