My short monthly roundup
Boring, nothing much happening, but really happy with my transition to date.
My Dr doubled testosterone blocker today, which may make a little difference. Who knows - we all progress differently. It is one that I have been taking for a year now.
Have increased my electrolysis sessions to 2 a week to hurry things up a bit. As we all know, it can be a very slow process. After about 18 months of laser and electrolysis it is frustrating to still have a daily shave.
Continuing and making headway with voice training I saw a video the other day by a young trans woman, who had killed it, after coming out a year ago. My voice therapist pointed out that young people generally have faster success than us older folk. Lots of practise required.
Patience, patience Penny
On another note, as well as this 6 month milestone, on Monday I will celebrate my appearing full time as a woman for a full 12 months. It is also 12 months since my partner and I separated. I still badly feel the pain of that.
I dislike winter, As each year passes, it seems to affect me worse. I should not complain. Nelson is one of the sunniest places in NZ with around 2500 hours of sunshine, and for me the best place in NZ to live.
So I'm am off to the tropics of Cairns, Australia next week (where it is currently about 30 deg cel during the day) to visit my son and his girlfriend of a couple of years. I have not meet her, but she is as accepting as my son, which is nice. Even going to meet up with her parents, ruggered Queensland cane farmers from near Port Douglas, so that will be interesting.
I am staying a week in Cairns, after which I head south to Noosa and Calundra to stay with friends for my second week.
I am a little nervous using my new passport, so hope Aussie immigration are kind to me
If there are any forum members near either areas, it would be really lovely to meet for a coffee. Pse message me
Best to all
