One chapter ends, another begins

This afternoon I dropped off my name and sex designation forms to the government office downtown.
If all goes to plan and I filled everything out correctly I will be legally Tara in 6 to 8 weeks.

It feels kind of surreal, like, holy crap it's done.
It's over.

All this after the weirdest, possibly most awkward ways to transition and 27 months into HRT I will legally enter full time.
Just... Holy crap.

Biggest congrats. The surreal feeling, yup, I dropped my thick envelope into the mail box, and realized, I was giving Ottawa permission to obliterate a persona that I had used for 53 years. It's big, and cathartic at the same time :)
