Last night I got all dolled up, nails, lashes, the works, sat at the computer visiting this forum for a while then sat and read for a while. When I thought it was late enough I went for a drive to the town library to drop a book off.I didn't park as close as I could have in the lot.I was wearing a pair of wedges and they are easier to walk in and I wanted to stroll a bit.Just as I got out of the car a couple came walking across the lot,I felt confident in my look so I continued on to the drop slot, they didn't even glance my way.As I was heading back to my car I noticed the shadow cast by the lot lights .I found it a bit exciting that my shadow was definitely femme.I left the library and headed to the coffee shop I went to last week.I was third in line and when I got to the order station a male voice asked what I wanted. The thought of being served by a male scared me,but as I got closer I could see a guy filling orders and a girl working the window, what a relief ,in fact it may have been the same girl as last week .She handed me my order I gave her my money hoping I wouldn't lose a nail in the exchange and waited for my change. She gave me my change smiled and said have a great evening.I had done it again.Only my second time interacting with someone while dressed. My next mission is to go to a fast food drive thru which are much busier and take longer to fill an order.I'll have to drive to the next town about 8 klms away to fulfill this mission ,less chance my car will be seen by someone who knows me,I have a distinct sticker on the back window,I've seen a few vehicles like mine but only mine has this sticker. Can't wait till next weekend, slowly getting braver.

I'm glad you had a great time! You'll get braver and want to stay out longer and longer. Not a bad thing at all, but the chances of being clocked go up. But, hey, enjoy it. You only go through life once.

That is very brave.
I have yet to interact with anyone whilst out en femme. I mean aside from hanging out with others dressed up and all.
I've smiled, nodded, and mouthed, "thank you" to SA's that complimented on my dress.

True-- a cd friend and I ordered drive-through last year. Fast food drive-through--I am not so sure about that. Male voice orders the food--overdressed "female" driver pics up and pays. In some fast food outlets you are on video, am I right? Makes me wonder if they rewind the pictures later on for the late shift's late night entertainment around the french fry vats.

Definitely true.
One night you might pass, or get read but the person simply doesn't give a hoot. But the next time? Could be a completely different story. It can be a bit of a roller-coaster sometimes. Try not to let either of the extremes get to your head too much.
I honestly think it's somewhat easier these days, compared to like 15-20 years ago. Nowadays that many more people really don't care. That's not to say you won't potentially still have some pretty negative experiences, but perhaps not as frequently, and/or as harsh.
If trying to pass is really important to you, then do try to tilt the odds in your favor in any & every way possible... A lot of little things can certainly add up! And even if it simply gives them pause & leaves them wondering, sometimes that's the best you can get, and just be happy with it! :)
