This Saturday at 8 AM we have people like us willing to be in a parade.

I'm going to be there in a ankle length skirt and a pink cami.
The people I am marching with are FRIGHTENED. I can strut out there in an Indian skirt and pretty nails, but if THEY showed their face? Yikes these people are rightfully afraid for their lives



3000 miles away from home with nothing but a business card. Yet that is where I'm standing.

The 3000 mile thing was about asylees. It did not survive the edit.

The group I'm supporting is an LGBT refuge, taking in people from countries with medieval laws. We get them set up here in the US. We provide clothing, shelter, food and companionship.

Their alternatives are downright scary.
