This had better not go wrong

So today I had the house to myself, dressed and having made the decision that while my home made silicon hip pads had served me well, it was time, given I've a weeks 24/7 Helen dressing time coming up, to go pro.

I'd found some reasonably priced online, contacted the store by email to see if they offer alternative delivery arrangements, in this case CollectPlus which allows you to pick the item up from a local convenience store, which they did. So today I'd gone back on line, added the pads to my basket and started the process. Got almost to the end and there didn't seem to be a way of selecting my chosen delivery method. So I bailed out and gave them a call. I must admit to feeling pleased with myself that I'm now in a place on my journey that I can do this without becoming a nervous wreak.

The guy I spoke to said, yep just keep going and on the last screen you'll be given the option. So I clicked away and filled the forms, got sent off to Paypal expecting to go back to finish off the delivery bit. Nope, nothing, job done! What!!!!

Back on the phone PDQ; the guy said "Hang on I'll check".
"Mmm, oh is this you the hip pads?"
"Yep that's me".
"Oh you're on our other web site"

Other web site? What other web site?

By now I'm seeing visions of the pads arriving at my door and having a lot of explaining to do.

"It's OK, I can see what's happened. Leave it with me I'll get it sorted"

Sigh of relief or what well it will be if all goes as it should. Once they arrive I'll post a report, that is if they go to where I want them to or I may be in the deceased section!

Apparently, you are hiding your dressing from someone at home, I'm assuming your wife. It's a shame to have to do that and it's incredibly stressful as in this situation.

I hope all goes well but at the same time, I suggest trying to figure out some way to let her know about your dressing. It's not easy and it doesn't always turn out the way you hoped, but it's a tremendous stress relief when you don't have to hide purchases and sneak around behind her back.

I left a bra out the other day. My wife saw it and asked "Is that your bra on the counter?" I said "Yes. Whose bra did you think it was?" No problem. I was dressed as Krisi at the time.

I don't know where you bought the pads from but if you found a source through Ebay they often offer to collect from Argos stores, I've used it three times now, it's cheap quick and very efficient , all they do is text a collection number when it's ready for collection.

My Halloween outfit and accessories all came that way, although the sales lady did query the strange shaped hat, I told her it was for a fund raising event and you should see how short the dress is I picked up last week !

I don't use pads I just accept I'm a trim size 12, most things fit fine so I'm happy.

I agree with Kristi on both her posts, you would think he would have just said I can take your order right now and just get it done to make sure he got the sale or the company did. I also agree on the stress part of her first post. I know everyone's state of mind and/or situations are different but getting it out there with your wife relieves SO MUCH stress it's unbelievable until it's done. When I was closeted, it really didn't even seem like a lot of stress until that day came and now I realize how much was there that I didn't know was there. It's just food for thought, like I said , you might just not be able to and thats all good.

I've found many companies especially on Ebay won't take orders over the phone when you have a problem, they direct you back to the website, maybe it's to do with Paypal policy .

Well I'm breathing again. Just had the email from the suppliers saying the order has been dispatched using the courier I requested. Hope fully it should arrive sometime within the next 2-3 days. Just hope that the pads live up to expectation, I'm sure they will.....think positive, think positive!
