A poll: do you prefer tight dresses/skirts, or loose twirly dresses/skirts? If you had to choose?

I like 'em both, but I prefer doing a nice twirl. Next Halloween I'm going to try going to a party in a nice tight dress, however. The kind that you feel with every stride you take. I've already worn enough twirly dresses on Halloween. I'd like to try a nice tight dress.

But if I had to choose, I'd still go for the nice feminine twirly dresses.

In dresses, especially ones above the knee, I prefer non-twirly (not necessarily tight, but not pleated). In skirts of knee length or longer twirly is a definite plus in my book!

I like the tight ones, the tighter the better. I just love the fact that you feel it with every move you make. It also forces you to be more feminine by ensuring you bend at the knees when you bend down, by forcing you to take small steps because thats all you can take and by keeping your legs togehter when you sit.:D

Why wait for halloween? The only things that belong in the closet are clothes.

Twirly for me. i'm a petticoat girl, and besides, it's hard to curtsey in a tight skirt (tee-hee).

A poll: do you prefer tight dresses/skirts, or loose twirly dresses/skirts?

A good question, with an easy answer - I much prefer loose, twirly skirts (the shorter the better!). I've got lots of them

I like it when they're so 'twirly' that they blow or float in the wind (though I'd usually wear a short coat to preserve my modesty). Sometimes I go sailing dressed, and the wind makes my skirt take on a life of its very own!

Mmm! Not an easy answer from me, problem is I love tight skirts for the reasons Nylon Man gave, but if forced to make a choice I'd go for skirts or dresses that flutter in the breeze, just feels so nice against the legs.

Long, loose, and twirly, meaning ventilated, cool, and I don't have to worry how I sit down. Unless it's one of those days where the Great Plains wind is howling up from the south, then it's long and lanky (but still not tight).

I like loose twirly dresses and skirts as they make me feel so pretty and feminine.
I also like tight ones but I feel it all depends on the event you were attending as to which type would be appropiate. If I had to choose one or the other then I would go for Twirly with petticoats.

Alan,
Ankle to knee length sweeping/twirly skirts made of silk, chiffon, crepe or any other silky soft material are the best.

I like twirly ones, especially with at least one petticoat, but have a few tight ones, too.

If I really had to decide on only one style, I'd be a twirly girly :) .

Tight skirts. I like the way they look and feel. Specially when I walk.

I love tight skirts and dresses. On other womwn. For me it's roomy tops and straight or A line. Nothing too twirly or fluffy. Although a nice peasant skirt on a summer day is nice.

I like stuff that's just the right size and a correct fit for me without being tight or loose. So size 6 anything is for me. Size 4 is tight and I only get size 4 stuff if it's thrift store stuff. Size 10 is loose and big for me. So my size range is 4 to 8.

I don't know what a twirley dress is.

I like my short skirts to be tight and and my long skirts to be loose twirly, although my wife just bought me a tight black velvet long skirt that we both find very sexy.

I much prefer tight dresses and skirts, and I notice the pencil skirt is makeing a comeback, that is fantastic news. However the right skirt or dress fitted properly is just the best.I do enjoy the feeling of a tight garment though, the restriction is so good, and as said before, they make you feel so feminnine, and this is reflected in the way you walk, sit ,and hold oneself. Its so good too the feeling of having your tight dress/skirt unzipped by the boyfriend. I like both. Tight dresses are great, if you have the figure for them. Unfortunately, my figure is less than ideal so I tend to prefer twirly dresses at the moment.

Tight feels nicer, but twirly looks better in my opinion. I can't help but notice there's no option for "with a slit up one/both sides." :(

I prefer dresses and skirts that are fuller and twirly... I own several ballgowns and bridesmaid/prom dresses that have poufy skirts, either floor or tea-length, that I wear with a crinoline slip. As for non-formal wear, I prefer looser skirts, but I also have several slim skirts with walking slits in several lengths, above and below my knees. When wearing a skirt suit, usually I wear one with a slim skirt, but I also have a couple with fuller or pleated skirts.

I like them BOTH... as they each have their place and match with certain moods or events.

if i HAD to choose, looser/twirly would be it, but always with pantyhose :D

For this girl twirly skirts and dresses are my choices.
All of the dresses and skirts I own are full skirted. flouncy, or pleated. I find all that fabric swaying around me is the nicest feeling I get.

Alan I LOVE those full skirted flowery dresses you have. I ENVY YOU:) .

I never wear anything straight or tight;) .

Depends on what mood im in. If im just feeling really feminine, I like long flouncey ones, if Im abit mischevious and wanna tease my partner, definitely tight.

Tight. I love the way they emphasise your curves and restrict your movement so you are forced to walk in short feminine steps. I love the way that when u spread your legs slightly the material stretches and gives off that luscious sheen.

Yeah anything that twirlllllsssss is great. Also I like long flowing also. Ball gowns to Peasant skirts. My fave is a poodle skirt I got from Nastalgia City near Columbia Mo. Thats the bomb, a poodle outfit with the petticoats clear down to the shoes. The Grease Movie fore ever! LOLOL!

Adore twirly knee length or just below the knee dresses, especially if they are made of chiffon or some other material that flows, swishes and drapes really well. Added to that being from India, the saree is a hot hot favourite with me and its a birlliant combination of tight and yet wonderfully twirly if draped right.

Would like to try a hobble dress though.. ;) just to experience how restrictive and yet feminine it can be

Hi Alan,
Definitely tight for me especially if I want to feel sexy and naughty. Like others I like the constant reminder of the clothes I am wearing, the enforced short steps and the extra care needed when negotiating stairs. I have several pencil skirts where the lining has been altered to be very tight whist preserving the cut and look of the skirt itself.

If I had to choose, then it would have to be tight. I also like loose flowing dresses as long as they have a belt and swirl skirts but I really like tight dresses and skirts that wrap my body and show off my nice round derriere.
