My transformation is in 22 days. I am not enthusiastic about it! I just feel flat. It means so much and yet I am not feeling it! It is like "Yeah, so what." I mean I feel bad because I do not feel better about it. Sorry! Just venting it! Hugs Lana Mae

It's alright to feel like that sometimes. Just don't try to force yourself to get excited when you don't have it in you. Doing so can make you get frustrated at your own lack of enthusiasm.

You may feel totally different tomorrow so don't read a lot into it.

I am bi polar, and go through big moods swings every day. Know the feeling. Indepressed mode now, too.

I agree with the others here; probably a transitional (sorry) emotion. I know many people feel similar lulls before other important and joyous events and often question their lack of enthusiasm. Weddings, baby births, I've had several women in my life ask what is wrong with them in light of their apathy; the truth is that they'd just spent all their emotion and energy and once the day actually arrived they were so happy and grateful... y'know, except for the pain and all that.

I'm happy for your new phase, and hope you feel free to come here and share any time you need someone to say, "you are beautiful and loved no matter what you look like or how you identify or what parts you have."

Good luck on the rest of your journey!

Lana Mae, if you're talking about your makeover, don't worry. You've been experiencing a lot of anticipatory elevation with the excitement of the up coming event. When I finally had my first makeover with Amy last year, I was sick from all of the stress. I stopped at a shopping mall but just didn't feel like going in. I looked fabulous and tried on a couple of dresses when I got home for pictures but, after a couple of hours I just undid it all. But, now that I know exactly how the procedure goes, the next time around will be way better.

My displeasure just before I dissolved that fabulous makeup job is evident in one of my favorite avatar image. My signature was, "Where's that Smile?"

Don't worry, Honey. You're going to love it!

Thanks everyone for their replies. Like I said I was just venting and feel somewhat better. I know it will be alright. It was just such a let down the last time. Hugs Lana Mae

It's puzzling though isn't it? I imagine any of us would be incredibly excited about a professional makeover...

In what sense was your last one a let down? If you'd rather not go there I totally understand-

Good luck!

Cheer up Lana Mae at least you have an appointment lined up and are going. That in itself is huge IMO.
Just because you had a let down last time doesn't mean you will this time.
Go have fun and enjoy the experience.

Hi Lana Mae,
Maybe it isn't what you want- relax and pay attention to what you feel- once you are in tune with yourself whatever you do will feel good, not blue.
