I've seen several of y'all mention that you drive dressed at times. I'll admit that I am a truck driver and do drive dressed when possible on the road. Have even done it during the day with wig and all :) and as a matter of fact as soon as I'm done with this delivery I'm on now I'll be getting dressed to finish driving for several more hours this evening! I would happily post a pic but I don't see that as an option on the mobile site on my phone.

I haven't tried it yet - maybe still just a hair shy. Though I need a cut and am thinking of trying an outing to West Hollywood to find a friendly place...

I'm really looking forward to trying to drive with heels on (I'll bring flats just in case!!!)...

One of my favorite (and safest) way of going out.
[I just posted this fact on another thread, sorry]. I have an Infinity G37 convertible, and absolutely delight in putting down the top and tooling around the area.

I usually wear my nice silk headscarf with the wig, or sometimes just the scarf (very long scarf, oriental print; my favorite one). I wear my biggest ear hoops for the best visual effect. Lipstick. And then whatever. A nice sunny day in the convertible, driving up to the mountains or around the city is great.

I'm home for a week alone. Dressing to the max will be on the agenda, as will be a long drive with the top down. I have a new green cocktail dress that's hot, and will be the subject of my attention, but I am really thinking about acquiring my first mini skirt for the drive.

I saw this mentioned in another thread earlier after I put this up.
Wow would I love to cruise around in a convertible! ;)
And good luck driving in heels! I've tried but no go here Lol! I have to take em off. Working the gas pedal can be tricky but I'd like to know how it goes for you when you do decide to do it :)

Arriel, for what it's worth, while driving in either mode, I recently realized I very rarely see or notice who is driving a truck. I just don't look.
Now on topic, I'm 54 and have been driving in heels since I was 16. So it's second nature here.

Cheers

I can pretty much guarantee I have never passed a truck and tried to look up and into the cab to see what the driver was wearing. That might be tough to do anyway.

I used to drive the 48 states with a tractor trailer with a reefer system. Never did it while dressed. But I saw other truckers that were dressed. But I have driven several thousand miles wile dressed in our pickups and no issues with any stops as I probably pass at fifty feet or more. LOL So I am pretty used to driving when dressed.

It said that driving en femme is one of first step of going out. But what about way from your place to car and back? :D Driving a truck can be great since from car its hard to see in cab at all :) Movable private place in public :D Good luck on your trips :)
Driving en femme must be good way ti start build confidence. I never officialy come out but I did few "half mode" rides. Onetime even wearing wig :D Also tried to drive in heels (I am curious girl :) ), 3in was kind of okay, not that hard just something new. Later tried my 6in boots and I dont recomend using those at all :D

Have you gone into the truck stop while dressed, and if so what was the reaction?

Started doing that some years ago in my car at night. Nowadays rarely do it unless I'm going to the club. It was good for it's day though. Helped me take the edge off of the feelings.:)

I drive a 2 seater convertible, something I have never done is drive it en femme with the top down. Maybe I will when the weather gets better, though I would worry about my wig.

Well I have driven dressed because that's my way of getting somewhere. I'm not going to walk twenty miles.

Someone mentioned getting from the house to the car. That's the difficult part if you're not out to the world. I underdress and then drive to a shopping center parking lot and finish dressing there. Not at the very back where I would look suspicious but near the other cars.

Driving in heels? When I bought my first pair of heels I drove to a parking lot, put them on and tried driving in them. No problem so I drove home wearing them. Of course I'm talking about normal 3" pumps, not something a hooker would wear.

People seem to worry a lot about other motorists or pedestrians seeing them driving while dressed as a woman. If you can't pass while driving, you're not going to pass under any circumstances. Not much of you is visible, there are windows between you and other motorists and most should be looking where they are going, not scouting for crossdressers. Besides, they don't know you so who cares?

since i work at home - usually dressed - i end up going stir-crazy and need to get out. a get such a rush backing out of the driveway and heading out of my neighborhood. i'm not fearful of driving at all - most people don't pay attention to anything that isn't immediately in front of their face. i just need to get past the neighbors.

the next beginner's step is to drive to a "safe" place, where folks don't judge - could be a friendly wig shop, club, coffee shop, tg-shop - go in and spread yr wings a little. i've ended up becoming good friends with my wig shop owner - she lights up when i come in and always makes me feel good - probably because i drop so much cash there...267678

I have no problem with walking from house to car when I'm home and want to just cruise around town or go to New Orleans. When I'm on the road I have never tried to go into a store dressed. I'm still quite paranoid in this very masculine job to try that. But I have walked around my truck at night just to get out of the truck. I have met another trucker cd in a truck stop and walked across the parking lot to meet her but again that was later at night.
For those of you that can drive in heels more power to you lol, apparently it's a talent I have yet to master.
For those who haven't gone for a drive yet it's a great way to feel a little more comfortable with yourself I think. If you really don't want to get out of the car while out plan ahead and fill up with gas first, take a drink from the house, and use the bathroom before you leave! Lol
And like others have said, no one will be able to stare you down long enough to guess you're a cd and they probably don't know you or would recognize you any way, especially at night. Good luck Girls!

I should add that if you're not out to the world, you don't want to be driving dressed in a unique car that people recognize. A red Corvette, for example. Something more generic would be better.

Arriel

Yay! I finally have access to my profile and put a pic of me behind the wheel of my big truck as my avatar.

This was literally my only foray out dressed. My car at that time was generic enough. It wasn't the best first step. Didn't drive in heels though; those I owned wouldn't work with my attire.

I would argue that regardless of whether you drive a red Corvette or silver Corolla, once you're out to the world, you run the risk of being recognised.

I have been out driving dressed a couple of time. Both time in heels, no big deal. Last time was in my wife's car, it blends better than my truck. I was careful around stop light cameras.

I'm way passed the driving dressed thrill stage. But, when I go out before dark, I remove my wig and wear my normal baseball cap and sunglasses until I'm out of our private street. Neighbors often see me pull out of my driveway.

Arriel, I find that driving in heels requires moving my seat back. And, the girdles make my posture more uprite so I have to adjust the mirror.:daydreaming:

I found driving in heels relatively straightforward.

As for generally driving dressed; at night it's all but impossible to see who's behind the wheel even if stopped at a junction/lights. Even during the day, the reflection off the screen makes seeing who's driving not that straightforward. And if truth be told, if you're driving in drab, how often do you really, I mean really, look at who's in the driving seat of a car coming in the opposite direction. Anyway, if you get read, they're doing X miles an hour going the other way. What do you think they're going to do. Hand break turn and chase after you? Even in lanes of slow moving traffic, folks don't tend to look at who's in the car next to them.

Yep, if you live in a small town and drive the only bright yellow car folks will know it's you. So go somewhere else. This isn't rocket science. Don't over think it.

I love to go out driving while dressed. I actually want passer-byers to look my way and check me out. Usually nobody looks. As others have said, nobody really checks out who is behind the wheel of a car traveling towards or besides them. When I first started going out dressed in public my first forays were to stop at gas stations and fill the car with gas. I was so paranoid. Now I don't even think twice about it. And now I go inside the station to use the restroom and buy snacks. But just pumping gas is a good way to gain confidence while first going out dressed.

And I would add, I started driving right away in 4" pumps. I didn't have any problems with the heels and the gas pedal and brake. I guess it presents challenges for some but I would say it isn't that hard. 10 minutes of an adjustment period and you should be fine.

I can tell you it's easier to drive with B cups than with C cups. I just drove from Round Rock, TX (North of Austin) last weekend back to Fort Worth, TX dressed as Marcy the cheerleader. I stopped at Buc-ee's and tanked up at the farthest pump (I try to have respect for people) and one of the workers walked by while emptying the trash. I also stopped at a rest stop and slipped out of my bikini bottom into panties in the men's restroom. I really startled an old man as I was walking out.

Back in the Metroplex I stopped by Wigit Boutique and showed off my uniform to the ladies who help me with my wigs. They loved it and one of the customers said she wanted a wig like mine. We all hugged before I left and they told me I looked beautiful. From there I drove to the Texas Motor Speedway to volunteer for the Electric Zombie Run. It was a fun day!

I used to be an owner operator. I drove a big Peterbilt pulling a bull wagon. now not many women pull bull wagons. I did it for several years while dressed and got lots of cat calls over to CB radio. I would go into truck stops and pay for my fuel just like I own the place. never once had an incident.

for the last eight years have been pulling local since I sold my truck so no chance to dress while driving.
I would used to carry nothing but girl clothes with me when I left out on a run , that way I couldn't chickened out. I had lots of friends out there on the road that had never seen me as a guy. I sure miss my Peterbilt

Didn't want to start another 'I did it' thread, but this is me earlier on during my first ever drive out in daylight. And, nothing happened. Had 2" heels on, driving was almost the same as with my usual shoes. Went to a supermarket car park, very busy, then a cinema where it was much quieter. Stopped at traffic lights, no one gave me a second look, even when close to my car. Learned a lot from my trip out, what worked and what didn't, and can't wait to do it again. 267748

I really liked Arriel's and Kelly's stories about driving while dressed en femme. I am just about to make a long journey and it tickles me to imagine if the trucks I am passing are being driven by another cross dresser.

Driving is much more fun dressed. I have a 1000 mile, 2 day drive to Erie next month to the Erie Gala. I will drive dressed both ways, four extra days besides the Gala to be dressed. But that doesn't mean you can't drive for fun locally! Here is my wife's 370z and me headed out for some happy motoring. Having a "chick car" doesn't hurt.

HA!
I was driving the convertible around yesterday. I'd just come out of Ulta having a make up makeover done. [Excellent experience]. I was looking good, all dressed up, the works (but still upon review, I'm not passable).
I'm stopped at a light when a delivery panel truck pulls up on the left beside me. The driver calls out "Do you know where 120th St is?". I had to use male voice to yell back "Stay on this road about one mile ahead."
The driver made a left turn off the road 8 blocks from 120th St. I think he was just checking out the mysterious platinum blonde next to him. I thought it was hilarious.

Depends on the situation.

If you're wearing a blonde wig & a red lip, and you have a fair complexion? When you're sitting in traffic on a brightly-lit city street at night like that, and there are tons of people walking by / hanging out on the sidewalk, some guys will definitely notice you. Speaking from experience. :battingeyelashes:

Heck, same holds true during daylight hours as a brunette with like a mauve lip. I swear (presuming) hetero guys have the guidance of a heat-seeking missile when it comes to this stuff. Horny little buggers.

I used to do it all the time. I mainly did it at night when I was going out to meet other gurls so I could use it as cover but I was recently out dressed in a really short sexy turquoise metallic dress, nude heels, red wig, pink panties, stockings, long french tip nails, pink bra with breast forms, nude patent belt, nude patent purse and excellent makeup. I was driving to be having lunch with another gurl at her home when I came to a stop light at a 3 lane busy intersection when an accident with 4 cars happened right in front of us. The intersection was closed for almost 3 hours while emergency crews helped the injured/airlift people and everyone put there cars in park and couldn't move. They were getting out of their cars and chatting everyone up. I avoided that for a while but people could tell it was weird I wasn't getting out. Eventually, as my car was running out of gas, I had to turn it off and open the windows. This gave others an opening to come over to me and they did. I tried my hardest to ignore them but I made eye contact with one of the group I was looking at in my mirror. They came up and starting to say hello when the first young lady realized I was dressed quite sexily and complimented me on my outfit and as I turned to say thank you, she said "oh wow nice purse" As I said thank you, her face changed and she looked at me close and gasped. That's when I got nervous. I usually don't go out so I I know I'm not the most passable but had so far and my voice gave me away. She composed herself and said that I was really good looking. She then said she'd be quiet but wanted to see me stand in my heels. I said I wasn't the most comfortable because I don't go out during the day and the crowd was not my strength. She gathered some of the people and got them to move to watch the helicopter launch with the last victim. She came back and I saI'd I would give a quick fashion view. As I stepped out and she saw my 5" nude patent heels on the road, she was astonished. I gave a full view of me and did a quick catwalk turn. She then told me how well put together my outfit was and that it all matched. As the helicopter took off I said I should get back in the car so I won't be too embarrassed. I waited in the car about another 25 minutes until the wreckage was cleared and went along my way. My gurlfriend laughed very hard at me that day when I finally arrived for dinner!! I thought I wouldn't have as much confidence to go out during the day but now I go out all the time, I just try to wear clothes that aren't quite as ostentatious.

Good luck to you.

Driving dressed was a real hobby of mine for some time.

I would always underdress with only basic foundation makeup so that I could leave home undetected, then I'd drive to squirt spot away from my hometown. If i couldn't find a secluded area, the corner of a big carpark would do. I'd take off my male clothes, put on my shoes, wig and makeup, then I'm off to a town centre to drive around. I would always be hoping for and fearing a look from a stranger at the same time.

I remember pulling into a supermarket carpark, dressed, and there was a cue of cars both directions and those coming towards me were at very close proximity. I didn't get a single strange look.

I find driving with heels almost natural, indeed a 2 inch heel let's you hover your foot above a pedal without effort. And being in Ireland that's manual cars only - we don't drive glorified gokarts!

I haven't been out dressed very much. The first time I drove dressed I was kind of scared. I was driving on a desolate country road being followed by a guy in a pick up truck! I've driven dressed quite a few times since, and no one seems notice even driving thru city streets.

I had to stop and get gas once at night. I was wearing a women's winter coat and blonde wig (and all the rest of the girly stuff). There was only one other person pumping gas and since I used my CC I didn't have to go inside.

Even though I've only been out dressed a few times, it's made driving dressed not much of a deal in comparison. I wear flats or 2" heels when driving. Or just take the shoes off!

I've only managed to dress from the waist down while driving home from work. Always change in to a skirt and heels and wore pantyhose all day anyway under pants. Made the commute so much more tolerable. In the summer, open all the windows in the car and watch the skirt fly. Truckers loved it too, lol

I don't enjoy being noticed myself; if anything my current car is garish enough. Cars don't talk, and if you're noticed in traffic it's generally not for good reason (driving recklessly, cutting in unnecessarily, hogging the road etc.). I suppose I have a greater obligation to keep my car and ergo myself unnoticed even when I'm not dressed. I've never had to pump gas while dressed, although one occasion I did would make a pretty interesting contrast between the car (stereotypical ride among boorish delinquents), and how I was dressed then (my favourite white dress). I do have a "REAL DRIVERS USE THREE PEDALS" sticker on the bumper, although it'd be ironic to have "REAL MEN...".

I have never been able to afford a car but I can tell you that riding a bicycle dressed is a wonderful feeling, and nobody looks twice at cyclists.
Oh, and......
On windy days wear a headscarf tied under your chin or risk your hair ending up under passing cars like roadkill.

Driving dolled up is a blast. When I purchased my current car I took Vanessa into consideration quite a bit. It's a smaller somewhat femme car, and I purposely haven't tinted the front windows so I can be seen, even though it would help a great deal in the hot Summer. I love to drive around and be seen. I love it when a big truck pulls up next to me and can see my legs, pretty fun to get honked at. As far as heels, I prefer to wear flats while driving and put the high heels and purse in the front seats... It gives the driver of the big truck next to me a clearer idea of what they're missing :battingeyelashes:. I know... I'm bad!!! Lol.

So on Halloween I was dressed in my Black Widow costume, tight jumpsuit long red hair and drove slowly through several areas with people walking along the road. I figured that at least some people would notice, I wanted to ask for directions to the Smithsonian. Only one or two people even noticed I was dressed let alone not a genetic girl. Get out and drive around you will have fun.

This is a thread I can actually contribute to...

And as is so typical of my luck the advise/opinion I have to offer wont be welcome news to some people. Not how a newbie with no pics up [yet...] wants to start out in a new community...

Im not a driving instructor or anything like that (if anyone cares - senior IT money making job). But Iv raced alot. A LOT. Big events on TV. Not local 2 bit "run what you brung" with an audience of 50.

I see no issue with "dressing". If that makes you feel even more "in role" I approve and wish you the best. But please please please dont wear heels.

I know none of you are racing. Just RP or R-RP. But Iv tried it. It's a terrible idea. And I can walk in my heels. And when I say I tried it - I did it in my (very barely...) road legal race car.

I almost killed myself and everyone around me. It was fine for a while. But I got cocky and the "Ohhh... noone knows what Iv got on under here" feeling and FORGOT what I was doing. And 800BHP of turbocharged hell broke away from me and I couldnt engage the clutch for ... 3... 4 seconds.

A previous poster showed her 350Z. It's powerful enough to demand a little respect. Please everyone be careful! I dont want to be a nanny... Iv so far only enjoyed reading all your stories. I do find this worrying tho...

And I know your not racing. I'll kepe saying that to myself.

If Iv overstepped any mark please let me know in a constructive way...

I did hear once that driving in the UK in heels is illegal, not sure if that's true (can any UK member shed any light on this?)

TBH I dont know. I suspect that there is no rule against it under equality laws.

And I am a little upset with my post. I have gained alot of inspiration from all of you. And you post alot DIANEF... Iv read mostly really good stuff in the forum flip flopping Iv done so far...

"Mr Bishi" as my daughter loves to call him will never again drive on a UK road. So the point is moot in some ways. Im a 5' 10" 15 stone "bloke". But I didnt have the strength to push that clutch down with my feet at sixes and sevens and a heel attempting to make some sort of ridge pattern in the floor fire carpet.

It's a race car and noone else will have to deal with a 3-plate clutch. Thats a race clutch. A "strong man" feels it... you get where Im going.

Iv made a bit of an arse of myself. But I am worried that what if the girl "isnt as strong". Maybe a regular auto clutch will have the same problem....

Very few people on this site will know how a full on "built to destroy you" J-SPEC operates when you rip that clutch out. And why should anyone... this is a dress up and many other things too... site. You cant buy these cars. You build them.

Ah.. Im going away to hide in a quiet corner.

I also drive in 4 or 4 1/2 inch heels without a problem, but I also drive very carefully when I'm wearing female clothes and shoes. If nothing else, I don't want to get stopped by the police. And having even a small accident fully or partially dressed would be also quite awful.

Many years ago I started venturing out in the evening fully dressed to include makeup. It was always around a residual neighborhood. Soon I became a little more adventurous and parked the car and went for a stroll. It was always in the early evening darkness. When the opportunity arises I still go for a drive fully attired. I create brief errands to run such as getting a newspaper from those free newspaper boxes, return library books, mail letters, get a can of soda from self service machines. I love the cool night air/breeze caressing my legs. I do the following

(1) Carry a change of male clothes in case of a breakdown/flat tire
(2) Stay off the freeways
(3) Never consume any alcohol before driving
(4) Check all the lights on the vehicle to avoid traffic stops
(5) Make sure the gas tank is full

As to foot wear. Heels are nice but I am more comfortable with a low heel or no defined heel. Years ago and not for reasons of wearing a high heel I removed the driver's side floor mats. It makes pivoting on a heel easier if the mat does not move.

I used to drive dressed everyday for a couple of hours. I would mostly drive around the suburbs and stop at a secluded park. I never noticed anyone even giving me a second glance. And that was with a wig and scraggly beard. Most people are completely zoned out while driving.

I drive as Missy every chance I get. many 8 -10 hour drives in the past. Like Vanessa, I quite enjoy the attention when truckers roll up and honk. if I Ignore it, many times they will stay in step and continue to gaze. I remember driving dressed from the waste down all the time when I was 17 and just got my license. that was my first step to journeying out as an adult. This was somewhat ironic, because I would regularly go out dressed when I was 11 - 13 as the hormones hasn't kicked in yet

A couple of you mentioned that you might want to have a change of male clothes with you in case you broke down while driving dressed ? On the contrary , wear a short skirt and heals , and if you get a flat get out of your car and show a bit of leg . It's a sure way to get a guy to help you change your tire :). All kidding aside , I actually had a guy help me change a tire once and I am not completely passable ! Most people are more accepting and nicer then you think !

I don't wear heels so I can't relate to that experience however I've had an observation about cars that I didn't have until I started carrying a purse. I have people in all of the seats, I have no place for it. I like having access to my purse rather than having it on the floor behind my seat.

I must share last friday experience I had. Warning, lenghty post coming :)
Since winter is coming I need to go to my cottage at countryside, you know prepare for winter. I planed do whole trip as Ashley or most of it. I went out for my car wearing female jeans and jacket and plain sneakers. I did some neutral makeup . wig and rest of girly stuff went to bag. During way to place it start getting dark so I find secluded place and change fully. Full makeup included. I was nervous, but in back of head i know in moving car i cant be recognized. :)Then dark completly fall and then it was great seeing everybody and nobody can see you. So Ashley take care of stuff at cottage and trip back was kind of same. But end of trip was something! My car is parked at parking lot with security, that means drive in, then check out with guy in booth. I dont feel like doing that as Ashley. I drove in, take of wig and breasts, then totaly confident went to booth for my card for parking. There were guy that usualy put said card behind booth window and dont care much about, but that night he actualy stod up and hand my card to my personaly. I was little bit surprised but who cares right? Also i noticed he was kind of surpised too but idk why. So I went home to my place which si 5 min walk in city. Then when finaly home I noticed myself in mirror and guess what? I completly forgot my makeup! That evenining i try create smokey eyes with little purple tint (still bad :D )so that was why guy in booth was surprised and even bother to hand card personaly. But hey, what is done is done. I celebrated achivement with drink later.

I've had three encounters with deputies while in some form of pretty. The first was in a parking lot in front of a vacant bldg, door open, pretty from the waist up, and I was removing some makeup. He pulled his cruiser behind me, came to my door and asked me, puzzle faced, what I was doing there. I said, 'removing my makeup.' He looked me over and left.

Second time .. I was wearing just lipstick, drove behind a business park, into a parking space to remove my lipstick. He pulled behind me, asked why the lipstick. I told him I was a CDer. Next, license and registration requested. He went back to his car, got on the radio, and within a couple of minutes another deputy (Sgt) arrived, and asked if I had ever been in Portland. I said yes, several times. He then asked if they could search my car. Yes, sure. Much of my girly stash was in the car, and it was a mess after the search. The searching deputy said that it appeared I was a CD as I stated, and I was allowed to go. I'd guessed that a similar type person had done something bad in Portland, and they were just doing their job.

Third and fourth times .. Prelude: I was in an argument with the DMV over my registration, now expired. I was not pretty in any way. A deputy stopped and ticketed me. TWO days later while pretty waist up, stopped again, same reason. I showed him my ticket after giving him my license and registration. Back to his cruiser and on the radio. Not ticketed this time. Told to get it registered. He was smiling, nicely. I asked if any of 'this' (dressed) would appear in his records and he said no. I thanked him for being understanding and polite, and smiling, he said 'you're welcome.' Nice guy!

So, its my experience, at least in California, that the law enforcement folks will be OK with you being dressed. All of the above is true.

One thing about driving around in a mini, you can't back down once you're in the car. If a taller truck pulls next to you, there's no pulling down your skirt to cover your knees.. ha ha.

Hey Arriel,

That is for me the only way I go out yet. (still in the closet) I do it at night and have to go from my apartment to the garage in the basement and then to my car at the back. I mostly wear male clothes than and change in my car, but sometimes I walk back fully dressed and hope that no one wil go out at night to the garage.

Driving in heels is easy for my mostly I wear 3.5 to 5.5 inch heels and have till now no problems. Also no strange looks only I get thrilled to get out of my neighborhood that no one will recognize me.

Greetings,

Arriel, Ive driven many times while dressed and love it. Like others mentioned nobody really notices you unless I'm really naive and bled really well. I'm curious what you see from the truck divers seat looking down into cars. I commute every day wearing heels or flats. On occasion I will wear a skirt too, then change in the parking lot of work.. How often do you come across a sister such as myself enjoying my little secret only to be seen from the birds eye view of a truck driver?

I recently drove to another city to meet another CD for Sunday Brunch. It was my first experience in driving while dressed during the day. (I had a few nightime excursions where I couldn't be seen too easily). Well, I left my garage dressed completely except for the wig and had a jacket on over my dress in case I drove past a neighbor while leaving my subdivision. I went to the corner of a shopping center parking lot to put on my wig, brush it out, put on earrings, take my jacket off and get into full femme mode. Immediately I got on the Interstate and, as I was driving along, I put down the mirror of the visor to check out my makeup. When I put the mirror up and looked into the rearview mirror to see a State Trooper car, blue lights flashing! I was pulled over! The trooper came up on the passenger side of the car and I had to get my license and registration out of my purse and he asked for my insurance card, which I had to retrieve from the glovebox. (I could tell that he was observing me carefully!). I felt totally embarrassed and humiliated and quickly dreamed up a story about how I was in a skit at church that morning! He told me to sit tight, that he would be right back. He came back a few minutes later with a warning ticket for failure to move to the left lane for an emergency vehicle stopped on the right! He was most professional and didn't bat an eye at the sight in front of him!

Just a little later, I had to stop for gas and, as I got out of the car to pump my gas, I was observed by 2 "good old boys" who were very interested in me and my short skirt. It was my first time to be found to be attractive and while I was a little fearful, I was also quite impressed with myself for being attractive to these guys!

With all of that going on that day, I didn't even realize that I was driving in heels and that I had never done that before. That night, my calf of my right leg cramped up from having used the ball of my foot on the gas pedal to avoid breaking a heel! Oh, the difficulties of being a girl!

Last weekend my wife and I were going to a GNO Christmas party we were to meet another couple for drinks before going down to the party. I was driving my wife's SUV (so much easier to drive in heels and get into in a dress than my Saturn ) half way to the hotel I realized I left my ID at home so had to turn around and rush home so i'm speeding home dressed En Femme on the night the holiday RIDE program started with no ID. My wife was the one who said slow down the last thing we need is a cop pulling us over with you dressed like that with no ID. I was more worried about being late for the party.

I am working up the courage to go out in my car. But as a man wearing women's clothes. So I too want to do the bald head, but with short skirt, 4" heels, top of stockings visible, my breast forms, and a tight sweater. Maybe some makeup and some clip on ear rings.

I drive while dressed up en-femme just about every week. :) On trips to the grocery store or gas station, on shopping trips to the mall, going out for dinner or for drinks with friends or with my daughter. If I feel like having a girly day, and I happen to go somewhere, I drive, and think nothing of it any more. But I come and go freely en-femme, at all hours of the day, and I pass well enough that most people don't notice at all.

And yes, I drive with high heels on, just fine.

Actually, the first times I left my home while dressed at all, it was to drive around my neighborhood in the early evening, or to drive at night to a nightclub I wanted to go to.

Furthest I have ever driven while fully en-femme was about 25 miles each way, from my home in Austin, TX to a marina on lake Travis, and back that evening. In a bikini and miniskirt!

Furthest I have driven while partially dressed was about 80 miles each way. I was going to an event in a park in another town, where I was planning on wearing a female mascot costume, as a red fox vixen. Had no clue if there would be a place like a unisex family restroom to change clothes in once there, and didn't want to put on the fem body shaping in a public men's or women's restroom. So I was wearing my feminine body shaping and women's jeans and t-shirt, but didn't have on any makeup or a wig, since as soon as I got there I'd put on the mascot costume and my head would be covered. Hour and a half drive down the freeway and back, with a male head and female body.

Haven't yet traveled by bus, cab or plane while en-femme. I wouldn't hesitate to use a cab while en-femme, if I had too much to drive safely to my home.

I don't think I would try to travel en-femme for a plane trip. No motivation for me to complicate the air tip any more than the TSA's paranoid precautions already screws it up.

I've driven as Wendy a few times in the past; one reason I love cold winter days is the short daylight hours. My wife recently took an evening course at a University close to our house, so I got to dress up as Wendy for abit. When she called for me to pick her up, I was all dolled up (skirt suit, black tights, long brunette wig), and when I got to my truck, started it up, I chickened out at the last minute and took my wig off. However, I soon realized that didn't make any sense because I was in full make up. The drive to the University was uneventful, and with it being dark, it was hard to see into people's cars. More I think about it, I could've pulled it off with the wig and all.

However, I had a helluva time climbing into my truck (yes, it has running boards) in a skirt, maybe I just need more practice.

Perhaps next time I'll go 100% in Wendy mode.

I frequently make a 400 mile round trip dressed, heels aren't a problem either, I drive a small camper van or mini van/RV to you American folk, it's great as I can dress and undress in it when ever I feel like it. Mostly it's in daylight hours so I do tend to keep the sun visor down as my van is quite distinctive and a lot of people I know make the same journey, not had any bad experiences yet apart from losing my purse with phone and wallet in it while shopping on route, I had to go to a local police station to pick it up, I changed back to male mode to do that but had to confess to the police officer that I was a crossdresser, well didn't have to but felt the need, he didn't bat an eye lid and was very professional, I won't be making that mistake again lol

I stayed in a motel a few nights back. I must add that I am deeply entrenched in the closet, no plans of coming out! I put on a short skirt, 38D bra with water balloon falsies, thigh highs, a sweater, no panties, I let the boys free, then put on a pair of jeans and guy shoes, heels in a bag, slipped on a jacket and headed out. Got out to my pickup in the parking lot and ditched the jeans, put on the heels and took of the jacket. Sorry to say it was dark, but it felt good to just go for a drive around the city dressed. Walking in and out of the motel if someone had looked close they could not have missed my bust, hard to hide 38d's! That alone was a bit fun in itself!

Because of sensitivity to my kids and grandkids who live locally, I never go out dressed in our town, but occasionally do go shopping in a remote city. The first time I did that, I got dressed at home and pulled out of the garage in the early morning without my wig. As I neared the expressway, I pulled into a shopping center lot and put on the wig and finished up my makeup. I had only been on the expressway for about a mile until I saw blue lights in my rearview mirror. It turns out I had failed to move over to the left lane for a towtruck assisting a motorist on the right. I fumbled to get my license and insurance card form my purse and my registration from the glove box and the trooper ws most gracious and kind to me. He called me "ma'am" even though he clearly had my drivers license in his hand. He wrote me a warning ticket and bid me good day! I really need to find a rest area pretty quickly to check my underwear, but didn't know which restroom to go into! SO I found a service station with a unisex bathroom! Quite an eventful morning and one that I will not soon forget!

I have been stopped before and nothing was said. I did get a ticket for going straight in a left hand turn lane which I thought was kind of fun since I was in the gay neighborhood. I even commented on that to the cop. He laughed to but still gave me the ticket.

I love driving dressed so much that I got addicted and I'm trying to control it. The first time I did it fully dressed it was amazing, just a great feeling being out. I love to draw alittle attention from trucks and vans by lifting the skirt up a little. At first I didnt like the feeling that the trucker thought I was a women, almost like fouling them, but on a couple of occasions they seen my face and I don't pass at all, even with a wig and make- up. They didn't seem to mind still looking and I didn't mind being viewed as a women.
I never seemed to have a problem driving in heels but one night while I was driving fully dressed with my wife she pointed out to me that I should drive like a women when dressed. I didn't know there was a difference but she made a good point to me.
A man plants his foot on the heel of his shoe and pivets his foot on the gas and brake pedal, never lifting his foot. Where as a women puts her foot on the gas and actually lifts her foot from the gas to break pedal. Plus a women doesn't like to dirty the heels. I checked my shoes and she was right my heel is worn out. Thanks for this great thread, I've enjoyed reading what others do while driving and there experiences. Thanks

Probably one of my favorite things to do . Now I recognize most people don't really look at drivers when they are driving but I do my best to look like an attractive middle aged lady and have never gotten a second glacé which makes me feel so happy and warm inside. I make it a point to drive thru shopping centers waving people to walk ahead of my car so I know they are looking at me. The thought of turning on truckers as I hike my short skirt to reveal the tops of my thigh highs is also so appealing

I've gone out driving in the summertime to the lake or similar in a tennis skirt and barefeet. I've got many colours to choose from. Once when I was in FL by myself in a rental car, I had a bikini on underneath my shorts and shirt. The bikini top tied around my neck, so people that looked close would see I had something on I probably shouldnt.

Driving when dressed is something I've done since I bought my first car as a 17 year old and that was a very, very long time ago ! In fact apart from the dive home from work that day, I'd bought it from a colleague, within a hour of being home I was dressed, out again and having picked my girlfriend up was on my way to Blackpool for a long weekend. Me in knee length platform boots, denim mini, white blouse under a leather jacket, her dressed similarly with denim jacket. We stopped at the Keele services for lunch and attracted many an admiring glance.
Having been quite used to being out and about it all came quite naturally really but it was still a great thrill ! We had a really great weekend away and she drove home..... That was my first time driving en-femme I've done it ever since, if only I could have £1 for every mile I've done ! :)

Have driven dressed loads of times - sometimes in heels. Never really found it a problem.
My car is usually parked right in front of the house so getting to and from it is usually easy enough especially at night.

I've driven dressed a few times. It's an enjoyable way of getting out into the world, as an observer at least, without being read.

The cars are parked on the back patio, so there's little chance of being observed getting in and out; neighbors are a long way away anyway.

Heels, I think, might be awkward for me; enfemme I choose to drive in low heels or flats. I had a 5-liter Mustang some years ago whose clutch was somewhat heavier than most, so I appreciated Exris's remarks about heels. However, what I think is important is for the shoe to fit firmly to the foot and not slip. In drab I don't usually wear shoes around the house and put on flipflops if I need to go outside. Sometimes I'll drive somewhere without putting on any "regular" shoes. However, I don't like to drive in flipflops because they can slip. I just kick them off and drive in bare feet, which I find far safer.

I recall hearing that the famous English rally driver of years gone by, Pat Moss, used to drive in bare feet, so obviously she found no problem with it. While I was trying to check that fact, Google came with an article from the British Daily Mail about driving in flipflops and other footwear (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2396615/Flip-flops-dangerous-drive-heels-10-near-miss-wearing-them.html), which readers here might find interesting.

I've been out and driving on several occasions, but, for me the highlight was having to drive 3 hours to a BDSM Halloween party dressed in a bustier, fishnets, heels, wig & Makeup. Driving is 4" heels can be very tiring as I am always worried about breaking a heel, but Mistress requires me to keep my heels on. The most disturbing part for me is when Hse has me pull through a fast food drivethru so that the cashier inside an easily view my ample cleavage. Shock to her, fun for Mistress, humiliation for me.

In the UK there is no specific legislation which solely deals with the issue of driving in high heels. From a legal viewpoint, motorists may wear any type of shoes including flip flops, high heels or stilettos whilst in control of a motor vehicle. Furthermore, it is also perfectly legal to drive without any shoes.

The Highway Code does state that you must not wear footwear that precludes you from using the vehicle foot controls properly. Specifically Rule 97 of the Highway Code states that before setting off on a journey, you should ensure that ‘clothing and footwear do not prevent you using the controls in the correct manner’.
However, the Highway Code is not the law (although it does point out some laws where applicable) - it is guidance only.

I drive while dressed quite often but I make sure that my car is in top running condition. Only one time did I have a problem and that was the time I was fully dressed and went to the casino. As I got out of the car I absent mindedly left my purse and keys in the car and locked the door. I had to go to security and explain my situation and they were able to unlock my car for me. No one said a word but I'm sure they may have had a laugh amongst themselves after I went on my way.

I drove dressed last week for the first time. To my therapists, about a 60 mile drive. I wore wedges, not high heels, but had no problem operating the accelerator, clutch and brake (my car has a manual gearbox). I had one tense moment when I saw a car coming behind me on the freeway that was the same type and colour as the car of my best male buddy, driven by a short driver, and he's a short driver. The car passed me and it was driven by a short woman. Phew! Parked a block away from my destination in the first spot I could find and had a productive session, then drove home. Next step will be driving to shop while dressed, and shopping dressed! (when the budget stabilizes a bit...)

I usually take femme clothes with me to visit my wife and kids (DADT relationship) in Michigan, and then on the way back to Western NY, I would change into them at my last rest/gas stop and once I'm back in my Dakota, put the heels on and then walk into my apartment dressed. Usually, it's 11:00 pm or later, so not much traffic on my road. Sometimes, I would have my femme jeans on, and would just put a jacket, and my male shoes on to fill up with gas or go into the store to use the facilities. Then the heels go right back on when I get back on the road. Just a couple weeks ago, was the first time I drove in a skirt, and it was AWESOME!

I drove dressed for the first time a few weeks ago. For me, it was oddly normal. There was no thrill for me. Just a strange sense of contentment. I wasn't worried about passing. I was just another woman driving the roads.

I have been dressing & driving for years now. Mostly started cause too many prying eyes around the house. I then started taking advantage of parks, side roads, etc. Anywhere I could get out and take a video or pictures.I live in the country , so there are plenty of quiet out of the way places. I love strutting around in heels .... :)

I have driven several times while dressed all on Halloween.

I enjoy all the small things. The way the seatbelt sits differently, seeing my painted nails on the steering wheel and looking down and seeing my shaved legs. Grabbing my purse before properly getting out of the car.

The venues we went to were about 60 miles from home. With every mile farther from home the more enjoyable it became knowing that except for my drivers license I had nothing of my male self with me. Driving home was sadder as I knew I would have to change back.

Driving dressed is the only way I get out. I don't wear makeup or wig (maybe someday) but wear either dress or skirt/blouse all the under garments and 3.5 to 4 inch heels. Just the other day me and my wife were driving cross state and we stopped at a rest area. When I got back to the car I fully changed. My wife looked and just said the whole thing. I think it is the bra the she not real thrilled about. But she is a trooper and we had normal conversation. We stop at another rest area west of home and I changed back. It was nice time out. I usually drive a lot for work so I will take a long a change of close for the drive. Mostly during the day and never had an issue.

I've driven a lot dressed. Stoped by the police. Talked with the toll booth operators. One caution think about where and what you are wearing before you go. One night I decided to take the toll road. Wasn't thinking about the way I was dressed. Used a toll booth that I'd never used before. I had on a white nylon blouse that was see through with a white bra on. A pink nylon miniskirt that was the shortest you could get. Blond wig and rhinestone trimmed heals. The good part was I didn't have body hair had just shaved my legs. When I pull up to the toll both the sign at the coin drop said out of order. The attendant, a man came out, gave me a once over with a disdain look and took my money. I don't know if he thought I was a hooker or what.

I don't know anyone who drives naked, so isn't everyone dressed?

I drive dressed often. I didn't have time to shop today, but I did go out for a short drive around town.

Yes, just yesterday! Summery cotton dress and flats, no time for a wig or makeup, I still had to check in at work, in drab of course. Too fun. Brenda

Living in a really small town does not make it possible at this time, but have gotten in the car in the garage totally dressed femme and really loved it. I will have to strategically plan an outing for the future

Nice profile pic, OP.

Yea i have done it a few times, it was quite enjoyable. Havent done it in a while though, this thread is making me want to again though. When I last did it I only would drive at night because I didn't want anyone to see me, though I think now i have the confidence to do it in the day. :)

I love to do that. Is not always easy to do in such a small city, but when you do the feeling is just great!

I did it for the first time at the weekend.
Nothing too daring and out in the countryside so hardly saw a soul.
Just a thrill to be doing a different activity whilst wearing.
Looking forward to the opportunity to do it again.

Stacey :)

I posted elsewhere that I had not had the opportunity to be en femme since March 2016 because of my wife's medical issues. Yesterday afternoon I dropped her off midway to Seattle to be picked up by my son-in-law. When I returned home it was time to lay out all the slips, panties and dresses I had been buying since March 2016. I got dolled up. In the evening I was taking in the cool night air on one of our swing sets in our backyard. I thought of this thread and decided to take a neighborhood drive. It had been awhile since I had done that. I was wearing a black and white print knee length 3/4 sleeve dress by Merona. My footwear for driving is a pair of Easy Street glossy black wedges with rubber sole. The shoes are very comfortable for driving. Already today I'm fully en femme and waiting for this evening.

Glad to hear you got a chance to get out. It is so thrilling and a bit tense driving in your own neighborhood. Was your car in a garage when you got into it.

No. Our garage was converted to living space a long time ago. When leaving en femme I keep the outside lights off. From the front door to the car is about thirty feet. My driving is during the late evening. The car's interior dome light burned out a long time ago and I never replaced it. Opening the door does not illuminate me. It's a quiet residential street. So, coming and going is usually not a problem.
