I don't go out dressed often, so yesterday was a good day. My wife was working the afternoon shift, so it was always likely to be an afternoon dressed. often I would simply dress and stay home but today I needed to be out enjoying the fresh air. So after dressing I dared to leave the house in broad daylight and drive over to the moors, never used to happen as I had a work colleague living opposite who has now moved away. I parked up at quite a popular spot and spent a great afternoon walking the moors. I returned to the car after dark, the sky lit with millions of stars making navigation easy. What a great afternoon.

Sounds like a great, uplifting way to spend the day. It's a beautiful part of the world that you live in so it would be a shame not to experience it as Jane.

Glad you had a great day. I also like to go for walks on the hills/moors.

So glad you had a wonderful time. It must have been magical to end the walk under the stars.

Congratulations, Jane.
I know and love that feeling. I went out yesterday for one of my first adventures OUT in The World.
Went to the beauty shop (Ulta store) for a make over. Did lunch. Visited one of my favorite retail shoppes (to startle the girls who know me there). Shopped a dept store briefly. Drove around for about 45 min in the convertible with the top down.
One of the best CD days ever. Sounds like you enjoyed the thrill of victory too.

Sounds so Shakespearean here across the pond. Very King Lear

Not so much King Lear as Othello. ;) As Sir Arthur Conan Doyle would advise Desdemona -- stay off the Moors at night...

I live close to the Pennines on the Lancashire-Yorkshire border, might just take a drive out there one day. And with the clocks changing soon some nice dark evenings await.

So you were walking on African Muslims?
What a strange thing to do.

I don't know much about the moors since I've never been to the UK. I tend to think of the quote from the movie "American Werewolf in London", "Don't go out on the moors tonight, it's a full moom…". yikes!

Carla, I did post some up. Too large, Mods have removed them, plus Photobucket appears to be down tonight, so I can't edit and re-post just now.

Consuuelo, Thanks it was, I reached the highest point on Bodmin Moor just prior to sunset and watched it from up there, then headed to the top of Rough Tor about 1km from the car park and stayed at the top until it was completely dark, no moon at all and so crisp and clear. I don't think I have ever seen the sky so clear no light pollution up there and no moon meant a fantastic view of the Heavens, very, very peaceful and beautiful place to be, both geographically and mentally There was one camper Van in the car park with a faint light at the window, which made getting back there easier, so I didn't even need to put my head touch on.

Don't worry Ressie, there was no moon at all. Lots of friendly, cattle, sheep and ponies, munching happily on the grass though.
