Out when you're in...

Like I described in my first post a few weeks bak I've only recently reached a situ where I'm able to dress.......now (very) slowly building up my wardrobe and loving it!!

Still a looonngggg way off ever going out dressed but tried something fun when I had a day off yesterday. My apartment is on the ground floor of a block and big window opens onto the street. So I spent the morning with fingers and toes painted in my leggings (new purchase!) and a baggy top - with the blinds wide open.

I don't know why but the thought that anyone could see me from the street was pretty thrilling even if it's unlikely they'd look that closely.

Couldn't bring myself to put on my skirt and pumps - maybe next week ;)

Good for you! It's small steps like this that help build your confidence. I'm glad you enjoyed yourself. The skirt and pumps will come soon enough I'm sure:)

Sometimes you just have to do something like that where maybe people see or not before you take the next step.
Build the courage and then go for, start simple and then once you notice nobody pays much attention then you relax

I remember once needing something from the boot of my car, was fully dressed and didn't want to wait. So, had a quick look around, no one about and went for it. This was before I ever went out fully, and funny thing is I really didn't care if anyone saw me (in truth they would only have seen a rear view.)

That's exciting and terrifying all at the same time!

I'd set myself the goal of going further with pumps and skirt this weekend but already chickening out lol

Tempted to set myself a big goal before my 30th birthday next month......but maybe something safe like buying my first dress or wig =p

In my experience, you can't stop it without ultimately making yourself miserable, I always ask myself what is the worst thing that can happen? if the answer is not that bad then I go for it...

Don't rush it just follow your feelings and instincts and enjoy the ride
