Hey, anyone familiar w/the E-Pen Electrolysis System from Sharper Image?

http://www.sharperimage.com/us/en/catalog/productdetails/sku__AH905

$70 US. I have a gift certificate that I need to use. I'm not looking to do full body, but small key areas like brows and such.

Thanks for your feedback,
Dana

It looks like a neat idea, but I'd question anything that says electrolysis and does not include a pointy needle though...

It probably works rather well, but I don't believe electrolosis is really "do it yourself". Jaie

Katrina, I did question the effectiveness of the larger pads they offer. Seems too good to be true. I take it that the more precise the electodes are, the more specific the charge, and hence result? So pointy thingys are needed?

TVgirl, I could see trying to get you back or other hard-to-reach areas would be next to impossible, but I'm considering easy-to-reach areas. Do you still have concerns for "do it yourself" for easy-to-reach areas?

Here is my advice - stay far away, there is no such thing as a free lunch, etc.

Here is a review I found (only one so far): http://www.gps-review.com/reviews/B0001ANCBS.html

Dana,
I've had a few hours of electro on my back for a bunch of stray hairs that seem to grow long. Most of my back is clear otherwise. The electrologist inserts a needle along the hair into the follicle and applies either a DC current, or AC current, or both in a preset sequence depending on the area that the hair is growing in and the thickness of the hair. Its not really painful except near my spine and neck - that hurts big time. Otherwise it just feels like she is giving me a tiny electrical shock and then pulling the hair out. Sometimes she has to dig for ingrown hairs - that hurts the most. I've had laser on my bum too, and I'd say that hurts more though. Strangely enough, neither of these are for CDing purposes...go figure.
