View Full Version : Facial Electrolysis

Have any members of these forums undergone facial electrolysis? I am interested in learning of your personal views about the process. Did it achieve the smooth look you were looking for?. What do you see as its advantages and disadvantages? etc. I believe it takes a long time to complete; 3-months I have seen in one reference.
This is in my mind, not from my perspective as a crossdresser (although the advantages in this regard are obvious), but simply as a man who hates shaving (fast growth, with tender skin; electric shavers do not give me a smooth enough feel and wet razors usually leave me looking like the victim of a cougar attack -- OK, a slight exaggeration, but I usually end up with an unpleasant feel and nicks, and yes, I am gentle). I have no interest in growing a beard.
Would electrolysis result in too-much of a smooth-look for a man's face (when not crossdressed that is)?
Your views would be most appreciated.
Apologies if this has been discussed before in any of the forums; I have searched, without success, before writing this. If anyone knows otherwise I am sure you will put me right :)

Thanks Julie. I had been searching manually through the forums; I had not realised there is a search function for all the threads; found it now (I have been a member for one week; that's my excuse!).
Facial electrolysis *has* been touched on in other threads. To pick just two examples that discuss this aspect:
Priss:

ericaleighton:

These are useful.
I am still interested in knowing the views of those that have had it done, if it makes a man (in none-CD mode) look unnaturally smooth.

Thanks Brittany, Erica, and Julie. Useful link, too, Julie.
It all sounds expensively painful and painfully expensive!
A nice little pull-up to the upper lip could look quite sexy; there again ...

I am currently in negotiations with a clinic that specializes in permanent hair removal. They use a laser pulse light. The problem I am having (thus the negotiations part) is that it only works on dark hair. I am 41 and my beard is 20% grey. So, the treatment wont work on the grey hairs. I may do it anyway. I hate to shave. Besides, the throat hair kills my turtlenecks. The clinic has quoted me $600. It is supposed to take three treatments. The pulse light is supposed to feel like a rubberband snap. Lots of women get their legs, under arms done. The gal at the clinic also told me that many divers andfire fighters also get their beard done for a tight fit for their equipment. I may also have my legs done once or twice to cull the hears so to speak. It is a lot of money for a secret habit. I will keep you posted.

My ex had electrolysis done on her face. She returned many times. Each time the hairs were fewer and softer. Not sure how many trips it took before she thought it was complete, but it was several. wenda
