Women shoes usually run from 1 1/2 to 2 sizes larger. I wear a 7 1/2 male shoe and a 9 ladies shoe. Payless has a shoe size chart that is printable at their web site.

I wear an 8 in mens, and a 9-1/2 in womens.
So I would agree that a womens size is 1-1/2 sizes bigger

and then it will vary from a 9 1/2 to 10 in a womens size. When I was shopping Friday night I found a neat pair of wedge loafers and when I tried a 9 1/2 on it was too tight and a 10 slipped on my heel so sometimes its hard to tell. They were on sale to (Darn)

I wear a Mens size 10 to 10.5 that makes me wear a woman's size 11 to 11.5 usually. Mostly I get a size 11...
Haley:)
There is no rhyme or reason to shoe sizing. I wear a size 9 or 9-1/2 male. I wear a size 9-1/2 or 10 female. I have several pairs of womens shoes in size 9. So, who knows. Some brands I am strictly a size 10. For Ninewest shoes, I am a 9-1/2--maybe. The secret is to try them on before buying. The time of day will also affect the size you wear. Feet tend to swell as the day goes on, so shoes that feel great in the morning might be too tight in the afternoon. One must also go by each foot size. For me, my left foot is slightly larger than my right. So when trying on, I must try on both shoes. If the right shoe fits great and the left shoe is too tight, I have to go up 1/2 size then fill in the right shoe with a heel cup or toe pad.

I love to go out shopping
especially for shoes
for when I'm feeling down and out
it takes away the blues
I sometimes wear a size ten
but usually a nine
and when I'm in the male mode
those sizes are just fine

I wear a size 12 mens and have worn size 12 womens heels. Maybe I Haven't had a proper show fitting or they just seem to fit well. ITs hard shopping for size 12 womens in stores. Target goes up to 11. So if what everyone says, I wear a 12 mens therefore I'd need a size13.5 women's this seems odd?

I am not sure anymore what size of shoe I wear in mens( have not worn mens shoes for the last 4 years), but in womens shoes I wear a size 10 for my reeboks and it depends on the style of dress shoe but usually between a 9w and 10. Hope this helps

I wear a 10M and 11W from Payless only, otherwise I need a 11.5 or 12W from everywhere else.

i wear a size 15 in mens so i wear a size 17 or 16 in womens...it sucks because just about all heels i have to squeeze my foot in because those large sizes are so expensive...:(

Shoe sizes are about as meaningful as skirt/dress sizes.
If you can't try them on make sure you have a return receipt.
It's heartbreaking buying something, then going home full of anticipation only to find it/they don't fit.

I wear a 11.5 or 12 in mens sizing. I buy size 14 when I can, but have worn size 13 shoes from pay-less. There is 1 pay-less near me out of about 5 that carries size 13. There is a site my wife buys us shoes from that is really reasonable, and lots of large sizes. Not sure if sites are allowed, but here it is... "Snaz75.com"

I am a size 8 1/2 male shoe and my wife wears 8 1/2 female. I can put her shoes on and my big toe comes all the way to the end. I bought a pair of 9 1/2W black pumps and they fit perfectly.

Generally, you add 2 sizes to the mens size:mad:

Actually it depends upon how high the heel. With heels higher than 3 inches then add 2 sizes. flats are OK with only 1 extra size.

Another thing to consider is the sizes are only approximate. In terms of men's sizes, some shoes fit me as a size 9, others as a 10. I have two pairs of womens' shoes that are size 10, and they fit me too...barely!
If you're looking to mail-order your boots, check on the seller's return policy, if any. If they have a decent one, you can buy, try them on, and send them back for a full refund if they don't fit properly.

I think you might find that slingbacks and strappy sandal heels will be more forgiving in the fit. Just a thought.
