Made my whole week.

I was at work this evening working a later shift than I normally do.

I have this coworker that I am out to and she has been such a doll and pretty supportive.

She is young at 19.

Well, tonight was a first.

As I'm not officially out at work, she has been real good about using the masculine when she talks with me and so on.

Well, we had this short conversation earlier this evening and she Ma'amed me. As she did it, I could tell that it was the most natural thing in the world. Like she had been doing it ever since she met me at work. She never thought about it one bit.

We parted and I finished something up and I went over to where she was and thanked her for making my whole week about 5 minutes later.

She asked me what for and I said that it was because of something she said to me near the end of our previous conversation.

LOL, she had done it so naturally that she never knew that she had said it in the first place.

Now that is what and how I would like it to be every time. But, I know it can't or won't. But a girl can dream, right?

I know exactly how you feel... I was in a ladies clothing store with my SO today and had my real hair in a pony tail, light makeup and was in my normal ladies clothing of NYD jeans and polo with little boots as it has gotten cold here in West Texas a bit. We casually shopped together and separately around the store and I found a pair of 16w jeans I wanted for work. We finished and when paying out the clerk said "Thank you ladies and please come back".... a small thing maybe but it lifted my heart off the ground all day.... it made me feel right and accepted.... but I have to say Emma to be accepted by a friend is much better... ty for sharing.... tommie
