Building two 4 x 8 foot cabinets for a friend. Cabinet on the work bench but I am not quite tall enough to reach over the edges to sand everything. Eureka! Get my pair of five inch heels and go back to the workshop in the basement. Just perfect for sanding. Wife thought it was clever and is jealous how well I can walk...especially at 75. Those accessories come in handy although many would say heels are a necessity.

When you need just a couple more inches, High heel to the rescue! Nylons are also most useful for things like filters.

I probably would have used a stool. Or set the cabinet on the floor.

But if wearing heels in the workshop works for you, go for it.

The women I worked with in the trades wore work clothes and work shoes on the job. It was a matter of being practical.

You really ought to have done a health & safety risk assessment before attempting such a hazardous feat Laura.

In fact I would have paid some bronzed hunk to build them for me while I lounged about in a negligee drinking pink daiquiris.

Nikki, they really were not hazardous feet. (Pun intended.)

Krisi at this age, walking in heels is easier than bending over and then straightening back up. :battingeyelashes:

Wig and forms help keep you warmer in the winter, also. :)

Ahhh, the old height enhancers. I wear heels while cleaning out the top of my closet. Makes the job easier.
