Many of us have had funny experiences when dressed. I would love to hear some stories whether out and about or at home. I hope this one will amuse some of you it happened a few years ago.

I had returned to my hotel room after a HUGE night out in San Francisco. It must have been around 5am and I am wayyyy to wired to sleep. Very luckily I found a good friend online and we were chatting. This particular girl had a slight foot fetish so she wanted to see my new heels. So I put my heels on my aching feet, but no matter how I manipulated my laptop screen i could not get the angle right and she could not see my feet.

"Hey Bec i can see your bed clearly" she says... ok so up on the bed I climb in my 3" inch gorgeous brand new heels. Yes yes NOW I know what a bad idea THAT was... before I knew it i had somehow somersaulted off the bed and landed on one foot on the floor, snap went the heel of my brand new shoe. Somehow miraculously the only thing I hurt was my pride. The worst part was I dragged myself on my knees to my computer, where my friend had typed BRB.. all that for nothing.

The next day i took the shoe to a lovely shoe repair place in Embarcadero right next to Victoria Secrets, but that another story :)

I still have those heels and they are still fixed :)

Mother in law was visiting about four years ago (does not know about Allison). I had a skirt that was too small so I left it out in a chair for my wife to try on. Mother in law borrowed it and wore it to church with my wife that night. I had a hard time not laughing hysterically when I got home from work and found out what had happened.

I came out to my weekend coffee group at the local Mac D's, and they were surprised all right but were also very accepting. In the past there is one fellow that comes in and if seeing me will turn around leave, this morning he came over sat down with us and chatted for 25 minutes as if I were someone new to the group, finally one of the others asked him why he sit down with me there, the look on his face was priceless, he just got up and left, it certainly made my weekend.
Passing for 25 minutes while talking to someone that doesn't like you.

I was at a Halloween party at a farmhouse, dressed as a hula dancer in a grass skirt. It was a warm night so some people were congregating in the backyard. I walked up to a fence to pet a horse and the horse leaned over the fence and ate a big mouthful of my grass skirt!

Becky,
I have shared quite a few great stories.
One recent one concerned a nice lightweight coat my sister in law gave to my wife. It's an unusual colour so I asked her if she would wear it, so she asked if I liked it I could have it. It hangs in the downstairs cloakroom and on occasions my wife grabs it if it's raining, on one occasion she dropped in to see my grandsons and the eldest one asked why grandma was wearing grandpa's coat ? My daughter in law knows about my dressing so she burst out laughing along with my wife ! I love moments like that and so glad my wife told me , it just feels like small steps of acceptance .

I had just ordered my first wedding gown off of E-Bay. The bodice was off the shoulder with long sleeves, there was a full skirt with layers of soft tulle that puffed out nicely with the hoop skirt I had ordered with it.

At the time, I had been attending night classes at the local community college and had become familiar with the Japanese Gardens on campus. Since it was around Halloween when my gown arrived I naturally put two and two together and thought, "Wouldn't it be cool to have a bridal shot with such a lovely background." and I could always blame getting caught on Halloween. I decided to scout it out one Saturday evening and as I pulled into the parking lot I discovered I was not the only person with this idea. There was an actual wedding happening as I drove up. I made a mental note that Saturday afternoon/evening was not a good idea and decided I would try Sunday morning.

That Sunday I woke up at 6:00am and started to prepare for my wedding shot. After makeup and getting dressed, I put the hoop skirt in the back of my pickup and climbed into my Ford Ranger. If your looking for a challenge, try to get a full length gown situated behind the wheel of your car.

When I finally pulled in at 8:30 there was a single car in the parking lot but it was parked right at the Gardens. I looped around once and found the lone car was pulling out of the spot leaving me all alone in the lot. I pulled my vehicle into the closest spot, quickly scanned the area and hopped out. After grabbing my camera, tripod and veil, I went to the bed of my truck to get my hoop skirt from the back and slipped it on.

Just as I had everything settled, I saw a big pickup pull into the lot. I quickly jammed everything back in the cab of my truck including me. It was hard enough to fit in the cab with just the dress, now I had on a hoop skirt and veil. Anyways, I made another loop through the back lot and back to see a construction worker setting up to do some work on the sidewalk right by the Gardens. Come On!!! Construction! On a Sunday morning!?!?

I did eventually get to take some pictures the next weekend but I'm sure I was quite the sight in full wedding regalia jammed into the cab of my pickup truck.

Another funny story that happened a few years back...

My then work had a fancy dress party the theme was Outrageous. My wife was away seeing family so my teenage daughter suggests that I go as a Girl. Well i surely wasn't going to miss that one was I? Given that I wanted to ensure that neither my daughter nor my work would suspect anything, I had to play the ignorant male... and boy did I do a great job. I went to an Opp shop and strung together an outfit, I went out of my way to find clothes that did not suit me, i bought a dreadful cheap wig and some cheap too high heels.

My daughter had such fun dressing me and I had her roaring with laugher with regards to my apparent lack of knowledge about the makeup she was trying to apply to my face. For example I asked her why she isnt putting blush on my lips to make them more red.. you get the idea.

Well finally I was ready and I have to say i did not look good at all and looked nothing like myself. I drove enfemm for the first time and arrived at the party, rang the doorbell and the host a woman I worked with everyday opened and said "Yes can i help you?" When I said its me she almost fainted.

What an interesting night, I really think i did not look feminine in anyway except perhaps my legs in black stockings and heels. People treated me SO DIFFERENTLY it was amazing. One of my work colleagues kept touching my arms lightly when we spoke. not in a bad way kind of friendly like. I noticed that people were much less respectful of my body space and seemed to be much closer when talking.

Thank goodness the only pictures taken that night were on my camera. I printed out two of the worst to take to work to show the few people who had missed the party and were desperate to see how everyone looked.

The most hilarious part was one of the women at my office who was not at the party looked at the picture and said you have done this before you look too comfortable GULP. I looked at her and straight faced said yes actually that what i do every Friday night and she packed up laughing. I think my quick unstressed joke answer took her off the scent as nothing was ever said again.

This didn't happen to me personally; I was not the one crossdressed. The MC for a Chinese New Year event at my high school (a boys' school) decided to crossdress for the event, wearing a knee-length qipao. Said dress had a single button in front under a mandarin collar, and zipped up at the back. While we were backstage, he slipped the dress on backwards and zipped it up his front. I was shocked and quickly told him his mistake.

Back in the early 80's my boyfriend and I planned a whole weekend at Provincetown, MA as a couple on one of the famed Lee Brewster trips for the Columbus Day weekend. I was to spend the entire weekend en femme. I changed into a pretty dress in NYC and left all my boy clothes behind. It was all girl for the weekend. It had gotten around among other participants that there would be three mixed couples on the trip. At the first gathering dinner a couple sat next to Sam and I and a very cute woman sat next to me and started talking with me. She said she she had heard that a few other couples were coming and after I intoduced her to Sam she introduced us to her boyfriend who was a CDer but in drab at the time. She continued to tell me how glad she was that I had come. She looked at Sam who was very dapper with his suit and well manicured beard. She finally looked confused and asked me if I supported Sam's dressing. Then it hit me why she had sought me out. So I answered her honestly, "You're almost right except it's Sam who supports my dressing." We were inseparable as couples for the rest of the weekend and for years after became good friends.
