So I get a chance to go out dressed today. I was trying to think of a different place other than a a woman's clothing store to go out. I've been to the grocery store late at night, but I wanted to try something a little different. So I went to Ikea. I needed some storage items for my clothes anyways, so I picked up some skubbs. I was dressed in a chiffon material dress that was cinched at the waist. Now I was a little conspicuous since I wasn't wearing jeans or leggings, but a dress and heels with nude nylons. But this is how I want to dress when I go out. It is my version of feminine, even if the shoes were killing my feet. I dress to blend somewhat.

No long looks or uncomfortable stares. The few times I spoke, it was softly, but I still felt like my maleness was peeking through vocally. But tonight I didn't really care. If people knew I wasn't born a female, I didn't care.

When I went out for halloween at work in my Wednesday Addams costume, I went to the Panda Express and to the Apple store dressed. I noticed I didn't get many glances. The people who figured it was a costume just smiled and said great costume. For the most part people are polite. If they thought anything, at least they kept me from knowing it and I'm ok with that.

One of the things that used to make me nervous was interacting with men while dressed. When I went to check out, there were no female cashiers, so I had to interact with a male......and....nothing...bad...happened.

Hi June,

I'm glad you had a good time. I have been nervous about interacting with men as well when I've been out and the only time I had to went just fine for me too. I just got back to my car and found a parking ticket on it. There was a truck behind me and a man about my age got out and came over and commiserated with me about getting ticketed. No problem at all, he was a perfect gentleman and even offered me quarters for the meter. I was nervous but it Ali went well.

Me? I like the meat balls the offer for lunch at Ikea.

Lots of storage possibilities for clothes there also.

I am not so aware of the stares these days I am too busy looking out for myself.
