Hello all,
Been a while since i have posted much of anything here. Had quite a few opportunities to dress. Got a purple top and black skirt outfit together and went to a GNO. About a week later, and a chance to try on and buy new clothes. My wife spotted a top that she just had to have for Thanksgiving. So guess what, she got it, and so did I. It is the photo attached of the brown one. We got it on sale. My wife is quite the bargain shopper, and i know she enjoys shopping with me, just won't do it with me dressed. I did wear it to a GNO and then took a change and went to Walmart afterward (see pic). Then yesterday, got a big chance to spend the entire day dressed and get out and about. Day started by dressing in the early afternoon and deciding where to go. Decided to wear a black top with somewhat open arms down the side of each arm, blue jeans and a new pair of approx 4" heeled mini boots. I also had a black sweater since the temps were in the mid 50s and breezy. Mixed with the silver jewelry look and off we go. Finally decided to start at JC Penney at a local mall to check out clothing. After that, in which i didn't make any purchases, but laid the foundation for future purchases. From there went to an outlet mall in Lodi. Me and my wife like to go there periodically. One of our favorite places is Rack Room Shoes Outlet. Now it is Tuesday night in late November, so this outlet mall turned out to be pretty quiet, not alot of people out. So this made it a bit easier. So i dove in head first and went into Rack Room. Walked right past the cashier, who was tending to someone else. They greeted me, and i non verbally acknowledged it. Not too confident when it comes to the voice yet. So i went to where my size was and started checking out and trying on some shoes and boots. I rarely make a purchase dressed since it usually involves interaction with others, which due to my voice, i tend to avoid, unless i can do a self checkout like at Walmart. Anyway, i decided again to take the plunge. I ended up getting two pairs of wedge like heels for just over $20.00. Of course, the clerk started asking me questions, (shopped here before, last name etc, but no problem from the clerk. Now i run around 5'11 to 6'0 with broad shoulders. So i am aware that no matter how i get dressed, my size is a potential attention getter. Took the shoes to the car and went back and walked around some more. They had a dress barn outlet store, so i have heard so much about how DB is with dressers, i took the plunge and went in. Within a minute or so, a sales associate was approaching me and asking me if i needed any help. Somehow got my voice to sound somewhat softer and simply told her i was just looking. That was the end of that, no problems. Then got an email that the weekly mini GNO had been moved to Tuesday, so what the heck, i was already dressed so off i went. Finished the night off there before i had to go home and get ready for work the next day. Not too shabby.
