There has been a number of thread relating to flying dressed, the vast majority as far as I can tell relate to internal flights within the US.

Now given that in the UK at least, even if you wear glasses all the time your passport photo has to be without glasses I suppose to avoid any issues and also I guess to allow for people switching to contact lenses. So I was perplexed as to what the position is regarding passing through security fully dressed. As it's been noted many times, dressed with full war paint and wig on many of us wouldn't be easily recognised by people who know us so would it not be possible that you're asked to remove your wig for identification purposes? I suppose it's true that GG's can and do alter their looks over time and with the life of a passport being 10 years hair length/colour etc could be very different.

And of course different rules may apply at the other end of the journey when arriving in a foreign land.

So has anyone experience of flying enfemme internationally?

I fly dressed regularly within Australia but never internationally. I will be traveling to the US in a few months but will not do so femme.

Security may be one complication but spending 24 hours with a growing beard in makeup and shape wear just doesn't seem like good fun. Still, I'll be interested to read any positive experiences.
