View Full Version : A Use for Heels

Yesterday, I came into the "computer room" and turned on the ceiling light. It burned for about ten minutes and then went out. Like many ceiling fixtures, there's a globe with three screws that has to be removed to replace the bulb.

I reached up to loosen the screws but I couldn't quite reach them. Time to break out the step stool. But wait; How about if I put on my heels (I was already dressed as Krisi but in flats).

So, I put on my heels (3" pumps) and was able to loosen the screws, remove the globe and replace the bulb.

Funny, Krisi. When I am in heels, my wife always seems to find something she needs down from the top shelf. More recently, she has me hanging Christmas decorations from hooks she can't reach.

Thanks for giving me a smile. I haven't bought any heels yet. I'm only 5'7" but don't want to be any taller when dressed. The truth is I want some sexy heels, but not ready to go through the walking in them practice, and fear of falling in them when out. I like the look of flats and am still learning how to keep them from flying off my feet!

I know I've done something like this before, where some six inch heels helped me reach something.
I just cannot recall exactly what.

lol I have done this many times while wearing my heels, replaced light bulbs, put things in high places and got them down, the list goes on and on :D

I hear that stilettos and the ones with the pointy toes are great for killing cockroaches that hide in the corners of rooms... ;) :D

I'm amazed at how I can reach everything in the kitchen cabinets with my 4" heels. The world was certainly designed for people taller than me!

Heels certainly give you a different view on the world.

Not only functional but medicinal too. I have a back that slips out periodicly and if I wear 2 1/2 inch heels the height re-positions the vertebrae and it hurts less My wife says "only you could find a medical reason for high heels".

I asked my boss for a raise, she said go put on your 4" pumps, that will get you a raise; and then we'll go girl shopping.

Hi Krisi:hugs:, That's why I keep a pair of 5"heels in my Service Van.

We have a walk-in closet with a high and low bar and wearing heels makes it
easier sorting & finding tops on the upper bar...:daydreaming:...

Julie, when you do break down and buy some heels, you'll be surprised how easy it is to get used to them (if not over four inches). And, when you get to walk in them for more distance than across the room, you'll love the feeling it gives your legs, the sexiness of flexing your butt muscles.
