My friend and I had this conversation the other night when I tried on my new forms for her so she could tell me what she thought of them.
She thinks that larger breast make the males eyes focus on your breast and not your face, which she thinks helps in "Passing".
I think that larger breast draw male attention and after they have looked at the breast, they move up to the face.
For passability, I feel that smaller, or average size breast are the best choice so you do not draw attention to yourself but just blend in with the rest of the women out there.
I would like to hear everyones opinion on this: GG's, F to M, cds, ts, even you male admirers out there.

I guess if you really want to pass, (I don't, as I enjoy being a boy who crossdresses and prefer to be known as such) you should go with what you are most comfortable with. If you feel good about your look, you'll have the confidence required to go out and just be you without reservations. When you look comfortable in your own skin people will be less inclined to think you're trying to hide something.

I have to agree also, as I'm bi, and don't/didn't want to worry about "things" falling out if I wanted to play. During the past few months I've started wearing a bra with foam breast forms and think it looks more "natural". I've also received many compliments since I've started wearing them. If I want to play now, I either wear a foam padded bra (without the forms) that gives the shape or simply go without, depending on what type of outfit I'm wearing and where I'm going. Even wearing a bra with the forms and a tank top or camisole type top is more appealing. Jaie

I agree that we are more passable if we go with small-to-average breasts, although there are many well-endowed real women out there, our frames and shoulders are larger and when you combine that with big breasts we look like drag queens....Windy

windy is 100% right , most men are shaped top heavy allready (larger ribcages/shoulders) and smaller hips. Besides the bigger they are the more obvious it will become that they arent real. Due to movement/weight and lack of 'jiggle' .Also big busted women tend to show cleavage.

Smart observation Toygirl. One of the things I noticed with my new forms was that they make me look better balanced with my narrower hips. Thanks for your help new girl, I knew you would have good things to say here.

I tend to agree with this. At least for me and the way I feel about it. I used to use breast forms that gave me a 38C and always felt that people looked closer at me making me feel a little uncomfortable. Now that I have my own breasts, a good solid 36A, I wear the liquid filled bras and am much more comfortable when I go out shopping. People still look at me but I think it's with appreciation now and not the boobs.

It is more difficult to pass with big breasts, especially on a crowded subway car. Everyone brushes up against my breasts making it so difficult to pass.

If I may throw a fly in the ointment...we are all genetic males, as such the vast majority of us have genetic traits common to all males, masculine features, broad shoulders, large hands, deep voice, etc., etc. Since you can only do so much with a wig and make-up, I think the size of your breasts should be the least of your passing problems to worry about. Yes, there are those of us who can pull it off each and every time, and to them I say go in peace, and yes I'm jealous, but the rest of us has to face the facts of life.
Anyway, I guess I should answer the question at hand. I'm a firm believer in the Quantum Theory of Moderation and Proportion, especially the Less Is Best sub-chapter, that's what works for me.

Karen:
Please understand that I do realize the size of my breast are not the "make or break" issue with passing. I am spending much more time and effort with my face, voice, and wig. We are however, selling the "Whole package" when we are in public, and having a well balanced female figure can only compliment the efforts we have put into the more difficult concerns.
And it may just be that I am somewhat of a perfectionist. :cheeky:

Base the answer on yourself...if you are out in drab and see a woman with big boobs.......
do you only look at her boobs and nothing else or do you check out everything?
Men WILL notice big boobs. BUT women do too.....so overall I personally would say your friend is wrong.
Also like someone said, when you feel like people are staring at you, you get uncomfortable...

I would have to say that you should wear breast forms that are appropriate for your size. Smaller would be better than bigger. I think the same goes for ggs. If their breasts are disproportional to their body size, usually done through implants, then it will draw attention but not the right kind. It just doesn't look good when they are too big.
Bonnie
I'm about 5'9" and 145#. When I had my bra fitting done at VS about 6 years ago, the store manager told me that I should wear a B cup as that would balance my overall appearance. I'm quite comfortable with the look and get compliments from ggs on a natural appearance. As was said above, the cup size should match your body size. Also, the statement was made that there are a lot of very well endowed women out there. Correct! My experience is that most of the very well endowed women are very self conscious of the look and wish they were smaller.
My opinion--An oversized bustline will draw too much attention from all concerned. Once they begin to look, they will see other things, and voila, you are clocked.

I think that disproportionately large breasts brings too much attention where the less attention the better. As you can see in my avatar, I like them big. But when I go out I go more realistic. For a woman, I'm large so I get proprotionally large breasts when I go out. However, I think that totally flat wouldn't draw too much attention either as I have seen many flat but attractive women. Really big, well, that's just for fun at home.

Hi Jeannaie!
The breasts are made to make the woman.
For some INDIVIDUALS it will be FFFF, and for others it may be an A.
You will have to decide what looks best to complete YOUR appearance.
I recommend the silicone breast forms. I love the way they feel and move with my bodies movments. My own are a "B+." This allows me to chose "B" or "C" cup bras depending on their material.
Post some pics after you have made a choice so we may tell you how gorgeous you look! (Even if we are jelous of your appearance.)

After agonizing over this issue I communicated with the bf store and decided to go smaller rather than larger. My forms nicely fill both 36C and 38B bras.
I believe that size looks the most realistic for my figure/build. You be the judge.

I do agree with you all on size , if they are too large you take away from your self, but a nice set of boobs does help and they really dont notice how large you hands or shoulders are , at least for a while. I lost weight and kept the boobs so I am stuck with them and love them , so I just use a pushup bra to show them .

Jennaie,
In my opinion, I think it is most important that you feel comfortable about your breast size. I think that having breasts that are in proportion with one's body may be a good guide as well. To me, if a woman's breasts suit her body size, they would not be distracting to others.
I think that the breast size you have chosen for your lovely picture suits you very well. You have a great day look. I would be proud to be your shopping friend.
I believe we all project how we feel about ourselves to others. Feel good - look great! Have fun.

Another thing to bear in mind is that it's easier for us to cheat than it is for GGs! I have two main sizes I go with: 40C and occasionally 38B with a bit of push up. The 38B does not really look right on my form under a T-shirt or sweater, but sometimes helps to draw attention away from my shoulders and back when I am cramming myself into a dress. I also go for the smaller size if I am wearing a leotard, swimsuit, etc. The difference is not enormous, but can be noticeable.

I am a small frame but tall. I went with a 32D. I feel very happy when I am driving around and the guys whistle, holler, and go crazy. so, all in all the only thing they see is my face and boobs (seatbelt helps show them pretty well).
When I get the courage to go out shopping or whatever I think I will tone it down a bit with a less body hugging shirt and maybe a lite jacket. Now when I get the face paint perfect I think I can pass pretty well. At least I hope so.
My support group thinks I am a knock out and want to take me to the clubs. I just don't feel that I am a "knock out" yet.
So, I say go with what makes you happy and to heck with what everyone else thinks. If you are happy that is all that matters!
Love, Beth

I agree with you---the more you dress in a provocative way---including very large breasts---the less likely you are to pass---the most "passable" TGs are the ones who look the most ordinary when dressed---ie conservative clothes, sensible shoes etc---but its always more fun to put on the dog---dress to the nines in leather and/or satin etc with skyscrapper heels---just don't expect to pass at the local mall but you can expect to have more fun at the local tranny bar. AS I get more skilled at bringing Ranee out I am realising more and more that bigger boobs are for "boobs". Lately I've gone down to 3/4 cup of popcorn from a full one cup and I find that I am more comfortable, and people are more comfortable around me. The clothes I love to try on fit better as I accept that most women have smaller breasts than we think.
Funny thing is that I have had a girlfriend with huge breasts, and lots of friends asked just how wonderful it was and I have to say that the sexiest women I've been with have all been A-B cups.
Another guide I read recommended looking a picture of your mother or sister to see just where you'd fall if the x's and y's had met differently and naturally.
We'll all pass better with more modest racks.

There's a subtle but important difference in first thoughts when seeing a woman..
if you see the woman first then notice features as details of that first thought
or if you notice breasts first then the other details.. which IMHO get more scrutiny. More scrutiny that i myself don't care for in general outings.
