I am out to my wife of 17 years regarding my CDing (about a year now). She has been loving and supporting. We are visiting London in March and she has agreed to accompany me to the (CD/TG) Wayout Club, though she is understandably nervous but she knows she can back out if she wants to.
Anyway, tonight our kid was staying with grandparents and my wife said she had "private" Christmas presents for me if I wanted to open them tonight. So I did: a lovely Elizabeth Arden perfume set including a body wash and travel bottle (she said it would be good for travelling), A black lacy bra (she apologised as she though she'd ordered a set including panties) and a small set of glittery eyeshadow. I can honestly say they were the most special and kind gifts I have ever received, as it is clearly a gesture of acceptance. I told her that. Unsurprisingly I got dressed up, included all the presents.
I am so glad I came out to her, it has definitely brought us closer together. Sometimes I do feel guilty though, it's not what she signed up for marrying me.

It does make it special. I'm sure you let her know just how special she is. You are one lucky girl yourself. Hope you two enjoy the trip.

Hi Jen,

Whereabouts are you living? I'm in the London area so might be around for a Wayout meet up, if you want to. Might even be able to drag a few of my local group along too. PM if interested.

Very Brit (Northern) phrase "...tonight our kid was staying with grandparents...", so assuming you're a Brit? Rightly or wrongly.

Every year for many years now my supporting wife has bought me a special girly gift, and I reciprocate by getting her a "girl gift" as she calls it. We exchange in private on Christmas Eve. Perhaps you and your wife will start your own tradition.

That's awesome! I would cry like a girl if my wife gifted me that!! Cherish her.
