View Full Version : Breast form dilemma

I've been crossdressing for years in the privacy of my own home. However, I have never gone out en femme. Recently though, my girlfriend discovered the "true" me. (And was very accepting I might add). Anyway, we are planning a little outing to one of the clubs in the area and I have a small problem. Shockingly enough, I've never used breast forms before. But, I want to look my best when we go out. And I'm not sure what size I should go for. I don't want to appear flat-chested. But, at the same time, I don't want to look like Dolly Parton either. I just want my body to look in proportion. I'm 6'1" and about 170 lbs with what most people would describe as a medium build. Anybody have any suggestions as to what size would appear most natural?

For your size and weight, I would suggest a "c". A B-cup would look too small, and A D-cup would probably come off looking "drag queenish"

Good luck with the night out, tell us how it went ;)

And congrats on the GF, she sounds like a "keeper'! :)

I'll second that C. That's perfect for your size. I'm 5'6", so i thought a B would be good, and it was.
I've got to do a plug here, too. Try www.thebreastformstore.com. They are based out of Canada, and were very friendly, helpful, and discreet about everything with me. I still have mine (wearing them now in fact), and they are very realistic feeling.

Natalie is quite right about the breast form store...they have a 800 number, I suggest you give them a call, they will certainly help you out.

I am 5'9" and I wear a "C" teardrop form and it seems to be passable when I was going clubbing, that has been put on hold, for now though.

I would also say C cup, I'm a bigger girl, 6'3" 250 and have D's, and they din't look that big on me so go with a C.

Instead of buying silicone forms right off, try some made of birdseed. The size can be readily ajusted. When you find a size you like then purchase the silicone ones if you want.

I'm 5'10", 190 in the harsh middle between a size 10 and 12 (Juniors 11 is perfect). The C breast is perfect. Padded bra for a little more!

I will have to join the chorus of girls who are happy with the service at the Breastform Store. I am 5'7' and went with a B cup. I could have gone C, but after a discussion with them, decided on the B. It works great for me, and I too have mine on at the moment. Let me tell you - the first time I wore them was almost a religious experince! They are now a part of me when I am dressed.
Good luck!

I am 6' 185lbs and I bought forms to give me a full C. For my frame they are just the right size and sounds like they would be for you to.

Hi:

I too bought my forms from the Breast Form Store. The staff there is excellent and it is one of the few on line stores you can talk to a real live person in, before you order.
Victor there was a real help to me
I am about 5'10 and am about 185 lbs. The forms I ordered fill a B nicely, but as I am big breasted for a male, ( can reasonably well fill a B without forms,) they fit real well and look good in a C bra. As some of the other girls have mentioned, I think too, that a C would look good and be in the right proportions for you.
As a matter of fact, I am wearing mine right now, and do so most of the time when I am dressed. They feel so natural, and I think you would be real satisfied

Erica,

Before you invest serious money in breast forms, experiment for a few days with water balloons (ok, I'll pause for a few seconds until the chuckles die down) to determine your true size.

You can buy a bag of dozens of 12" round latex balloons from your local variety store for a couple bucks. Fill a couple of them (why not choose pink ones to start :-)) with enough warm water to make them the size of softballs, and put them in your bra. If you're not immediately transported into feminine heaven, I'll be very much surprised :-).

Now, put on a sweater, a blouse or a dress. Look at yourself in the mirror and evaluate the girl you find there on the old "babe-o-meter". Be honest. Is she too much of a good thing? In the immortal words of my old basketball coach, "keep running that play until we get it right".

Too big is not good, as much as we might like to think so. When the girl in the mirror seems like somebody you knew in high school, and wanted to date (more than once), then take your measurements. Use these to determine what your bra size is, and from this, you'll get the size number for breast forms that will probably work for you.

Then, order them from www.breastformstore.com -- we all seem to be unanimous here in Victor's praises. They are nice people, offer great prices, and offer a personal touch.

Hugs,
-- Susie

The breastform store is the place to go. The B cups (size 4) are bigger than you think, because the forms supplied by the manufacturer run a bit large according to them. So I went with size 4, supposedly a B cup, but they nearly fill a C bra. A size 5 would have been too large and required me to change my wardrobe from the 12-14 range to the 16+

I just wanted to thank everyone for their advice. As usual, the girls on here came through for me. I wouldn't even know about the Breast Form Store if it wasn't for all of you. And I tried experimenting with various sizes as some of you mentioned. And it's unanimous...a 36-C looks perfect! You ladies sure know what you're talking about. Anyway, again, thanks.

I recently bought a pair of forms off the internet I dont remember what size they were but it turned out to be way to big for me. I weight about 160 lbs and I look like Anna Nicole with them. So I bought smaller b cup size and it does make a whole lot of diffenence in apperance.

I wore #5 from Silicone Works (try eBay) all weekend, and they are very comfy, but a bit small for me (6 1, 235 lb), but might be what you are looking for. I am wearing #6 from another eBay supplier, larger and slightly differnet shape. I have 5 sets in varying sizes and shapes, plus a couple sets of nu-bra self-adhesive enhancers that can generate pretty nice cleavage. Teardrops give you the most natural look and feel. Triangles have more projection, and are what you would wear if you want your bustline to be out there.

I'm 5"11 and weigh 185 and I recently bought my forms from the Breast Form Store. I originally ordered 36 C's but after talking with the wonderful staff via Internet, I was convinced to change to a 38 C. I have been wearing 36 all this time but after getting into a 38....I'm so glad that I listened to them!!

I love the breast forms also....very realistic.;)
