Girls, I know you've been here; especially those in various forms of DADT.
Next week, my beloved bride travels to the coast. I have 10 days home alone. Yes, she knows. She knows I will be dressing in Ilene's full glory. It's expected.
She knows I've gone OUT into The World. She doesn't like it and won't (at this time) be seen in public with Ilene. She wouldn't be impressed if I ventured forth into The World, but she knows she can''t stop me. I will do what I want; and I have a terrible audacious/ brazen streak she loves, and that sometimes serves me well.

But the count down........ I can't stand it.
I have a brand new pair of ankle boots (Blowfish Suba ankle boots from LTS, grey). I've been sporting them in the privacy of my own home for now but looking forward to taking them for a serious walk. I certainly NEED something to go with them. It's like I have a host of outfits I'm dying to try on and I don't have a thing to wear either.

Just thinking out loud to myself......

I plan on scheduling a (another) Make Over at ULTA. Had a great experience the last time.
Looking forward to a manicure/pedicure.
There's a Long Tall Sally store in downtown Denver. Gotta go (DRESSED). Has anyone ever been there or to another LTS store? Are they CD friendly?
This will be a typical "early" going out experience. Yes, (almost unfortunately) shopping will be involved, but I'd like my week to be more than just a string of shopping and gazing experiences. I'm open to ideas. Maybe The Museum? Art gallery? I ski, so I will certainly ski en femme on a few days. I'm thinking of asking area CD's who post on this board (local Denver/ Boulder metro area) about doing a "meeting". I'd actually enjoy meeting a fellow CD face to face (someone who understands), even in guy mode; but there's always a risk about reaching out too.

I love her (the SO). Lord help me I love her so; but the times she's gone are priceless.

Hi Ilene!

You know what they say about what comes to those who wait . . . ;) .

The anticipation forms the basis for a lot of great experiences, I think. The experience also has to deliver though, and from the sound of all those plans you have rushing through your mind, I don't think there is any doubt! :daydreaming: .

Have an amazing and fulfilling time! Keep us updated :D.

High five, Ilene!

Somehow, I just know that you are going to squeeze everything possible, and maybe a bit more, out of that ten days. Enjoy!

Hugs,

Kelly

The waiting. I had six months notice that I would get eleven days in December. I had so many things planned and I did take advantage and was in girl mode most of the time. I even had one outrageous outing that was over the top. But, all of the anticipation was overshadowed by the opportunity to completely clean out and organize the garage. Something I've wanted to have the protracted timeframe to accomplish. So that's what consumed most of the staycation. And it was well worth it.

Hi, Ilene! Regardless of what you do have fun! Strut those boots, girl! I know about the waiting. My transformation was 4 months away then got delayed for another month! It was fantastic and well worth the wait!! I saw Lana Mae for the first time and was Lana Mae 24/7 for 3 days! Best wishes with your plans. Hugs Lana Mae
