New Regulation: Men Required To Wear Heels To Work

There was a story on the evening news where in the U.K. an absolutely beautiful young woman was fired because she didn't wear heels to work. Her employer also wanted women to wear sexy dresses and show cleavage. She and other women's opinions were that if women were required to wear heels/pumps to work then men should also be required to wear the same.

Dream all you want. It's not going to happen. Then again, I suppose there is nothing to prevent your from going to work wearing a nice pump. The related news article in the NY Times and BBC indicate she was told to wear a 2" to 4" heel.

This is not the case. From the BBC article: "She has since set up a petition calling for the law to be changed so women cannot be forced to wear high heels to work."

No win for high-heel loving crossdressers here.

This morning I came upon the end of a radio news report on that. They did say that in New York City an employer can require a woman to wear heels. I immediately thought that it was probably more common here in the USA. Then I heard the rest of the comment, "..., if the males are also required to wear heels too!". Equal rights (requirements) for all. That made my morning.

Well if such a law ever did come in I'd have a head start over most male workers. 4 inch heels are a breeze!

Awe gee, everything comes after one is retired. LOL Heels and 4" heels would be a breeze. Heck I would even wear a skirt, well and a blouse, bling and makeup. Yeah! Gee equal rights right.

The only places that can enforce this are those that require a particular costume in order to do the job. As, if you're hired to play Mickey Mouse, you have to wear the whole costume with top mask and ears, etc.. If you're hired to be a playboy bunny, the tight outfit with the cottontail and big pointy ears would be required. Etc..
