"In a Skirt" Have to say I've been somewhat curious about this particular statement. Don't know why? Anyone else have any thoughts about this statement?:battingeyelashes:

Not sure what you mean. Versus " wearing a skirt"? Depends on context I guess. Both seem grammatically correct

I think it's how you order hot chocolate? I dunno. The last thread left me confused.

I think we need more information on the context of the statement before we can answer the question properly

Isn't that when you wrap a hot dog in a Cresent roll? Oh wait, that's in-a-blanket. Never mind.

yes. I don't know why this sticks in my head TBH. It's just a phrase I've heard various different people say over the years and I kind of like the sound of it. Thats it; no more or less.

The term "Anything in a skirt" is used about men who will go after just about any woman they see, pretty much no matter what she looks like. If she is female she qualifies as a desirable objective.

Not exactly flattering .. for either!

You might be thinking something like the old game of reading a fortune cookie and ending the fortune with in bed. So roller skating ....in a skirt might work.

I've used the phrase "in a skirt and heels", I've also used "in jeans and flats" - what's the issue?

Or, "under the sheets."

Shirley,
Does this have anything to do with Julie's thread about being called a skirt ? If so it's a slang term for a woman" Being a bit of skirt !"

If you're asking the question if we like wearing them , then you've come to the right place ! To answer the question , yes I do like wearing them !

I vote with Teresa. It sounds like some kind of local slang term for a man who is effeminate. Never heard it before, but it sounds like a slang term to me. Might be totally wrong.

Hey Shirls,
Stacy from Oz

A skirt is a girl ( unlike me a real one! )
The term is used in a derogative way by the less intelligent of us. Can't think of the best way to put it ( being a GIRL ) but being called a Skirt where I live would be like being called usable or trashy.
I've just had to stop and think, and the same term was used or directed at an old friend of mine, he was a hostess of course.
I'll give you the heads up on the next term whilst here, Blouse or girls blouse is a Welsh come British saying that you're a girl. As with skirt, blouse refers to Womens clothing.
I wear both!

Skirts are okay, but what I really like is anything in a bra.

@Angie:
If a guy were to say that to me, with enough guard down, I think I actually would look at her skirt! That could go pretty badly:

A: "Look at the skirt!"
Me: "Wow! Yeah, I wish I had one just like it."

A: "You what, fella?!??" :raisedeyebrow:
Me: "Errr . . I .. wish .. I .. had .. one .. minute to sit." <sweats>

A: "Ohhh, yeah! That's what I thought you said. Me too, man! Me too! But how about that skirt??"
Me: "Yeah, sure, why not? I love sitting in a skirt!"

A: "YOU WHAT?!??" .
Me: <profuse sweating. Exit stage left.>
