Keystone Conference is a transgender conference consisting mostly of TG and TS girls, but also including FtM, SOs, youth and others in Harrisburg, PA. There are multiple seminars (makeup, dressing, comportment, surgery, therapists, etc.) talking about all aspect of TG/TS. The whole hotel will be filled with TG/TS girls of all shape, size, as passibility. It many ways, it's a CD's wildest dream.

For those in doubt, I thought I'd provide some reasons to go to the Keystone Conference:

1. Meet another CD for the first time.
2. Meet someone from this site.
3. Go out dressed (in a safe place).
4. Use the women's bathroom safely.
5. Dance in a dress.
6. Get a makeover.
7. Get pictures of youself en femme.
8. Get a mani/pedi.
9. Wear (and dance in) a ball gown.
10. Go to church dressed (with other girls).
11. Go out to a restaurant dressed.
12. Go to the Casino Dressed.
13. Sing Karaoke dressed.
14. Check out (and buy) Dress Techs, wigs, clothes, jewelry, makeup, etc.
15. Talk to a doc about surgery (BA, FFS, GRS)
16. Drive dressed.
17. Sleep dressed.
18. Meet muggles dressed.

Here's the conference web page (http://www.keystone-conference.org/2017/index.cfm) for those who want to check it out.

Maybe some other Keystone veterans can add to the list to help those still on the fence ...

Or if you have other bucket list items, ask below.

19. Check into a hotel dressed and be treated . . . . normally and with respect.
20. Experience an extended period acting and dressed as a woman -- you're on, 24/5.
21. If you didn't already know it, realize that you're not alone (Last time I was there, I recall that there were about 500+ of us -- in one place.)
22. Let your spouse/SO meet other ladies and finally realize that you're OK and so are your friends.

Would some of you older and more experienced members please provide a synopsis of Keystone?
Where it is. What it is. When it is.
Many of us hovering around the closet or in growing DADT situations aren't in always in the (CD) Community news stream enough to know about possible CD events (for growth, learning, fun, etc.)

I love Keystone (I'm sure you can't tell...). I have no agenda except to have fun. The most important part of Keystone is the community. Meeting others of a like mind is amazing and affirming. To be able to let your inner girl out in a safe and inclusive area is the best feeling one can get. I have met a number of girls from this site and FB in real life at Keystone and it is astounding how well we all get along. I LOVE IT!!! (I guess I said that already, sorry.) By the way, although it is a large gathering, if you put the least amount of effort in to it, you will find a group that you fit into. If nothing else, you can hang with Heidi, Steftoday, Sometimes Steffi, Babbette, Michelle Crossfire, me and whoever else from here shows up. We'll support you.

A big shout-out to Lisa. I went to my first conferences in Massachusetts almost 20 years ago, since then have been plenty busy dealing with my own life. Two years ago the Keystone ad caught my eye and I went up for a day, kind of nervous because I didn't know a single soul. Stepped into the elevator and got a big hello greeting from , yup, S Lisa Smith. That sure started the day off right. Thank you Lisa and all you other Keystone ambassadors.

Having gone to Keystone and the Erie Gala (twice), I am certain this will be the best time you can ever have. You'll have fun, you'll learn things and get to meet some great people. All the while you are probably doing things you never have done before as a lady. If this is your first time, check the box in your sign up sheet. If you need one, a big sister can be assigned to you to get you out of your room and have some fun! They also have scholarships for those who may have some funding problems.
This is such a great gathering, I've got the doctor who monitors my HRT interested in going! its a great way to take a lot of the stigma and doubt you may have and learn to love yourself and who you are. I hope to meet you there!

Keystone is one of my favorites! Two tips:

1) Bring a friend or find a roommate. It's cheaper, but also more fun that way.

2) Bring comfortable shoes! I'm usually in heels just one night at a time. Staying dressed all weekend can lead to some sore feet.

Id love to go to this. Bit late for this year, but definitely for next year. Love to spend a few days all dressed up 24/7

Are there any more of these type of events that anyone knows about?

Thanks.......

As a for mentioned, it's a wonderful place to spend a day, or week, en femme. Lot's of fun, interesting topics and plenty of people to hang out with. You'll meet like minded people and probably make a bunch of new friends. Check out the website, http://www.keystone-conference.org/2017/index.cfm. (Link worked for me).

You can walk on the wild side and do some in town trips or just stay at the hotel and network with some great people.

I am the Helping Hand Director for Keystone and I try to help newcomers with any questions they have. Whether you are just interested in information or if you've never been out, this is the place to explore your inner you.

Feel free to PM me if you have any other questions.

I haven't decided if I will go this year. Went last year 2016 for 1st time. Had a bunch of local friends that went.

This year not many of them are going. I got got why too tired. Stayed up late and closed the bars and got up early so I could check out the sessions.

I do like to meet new people, and maybe see some from last year. Did get to meet another MtF who transitioned in 1983. I did mine in 1977, and hope to meet any others from that era.
