View Full Version : Anxiously awaiting Tuesday

I guess it's kind of special when somebody first starts dressing to add those notches to the bedpost, so to speak. My plans for this Tuesday will add three notches for me.
About a week or so ago, I put up a thread about the "Aha" moment. I gave partial credit for that revelation to the cosmetician (Celina) I met at Walgreen's. Well, yesterday I stopped in to see Celina, and to make sure that she knew what she was getting into. I loaded a few of my pictures on my phone to show her... She must've said OMG at least 5 times! I had to laugh, as I present so much differently as a man, then as a woman. Celina said that I looked great in the pictures, and asked me what I wanted to address with my makeup. I answered her, "Everything! I want to learn how to do it right." She told me that she would teach me, and we set up an appointment for Tuesday morning for my first makeover. Yeah!!!

So, the plan goes:
1. Make my first "en femme" venture out in the general public in daylight,
2. Have my first makeover, and
3. Go SHOPPING AT THE MALL in full battle gear!
Of course, there will be pictures along the way. Should be fun!
Three notches! Maybe more? Suggestions?

P.S. I'm usually understated when it comes to jewelry, but I will be wearing my mother's engagement ring (which I picked up yesterday from the jewelers - got it resized.)

Hey there Geena,

I have a beautician which does my body hair and skin, I also have a new cosmetics friend (if that is a term) whom has been changing my colour pallet.
So what I want to say is, just take on board what she has to say.
I wanted my foundation to be porcelain last week, but I listened to my friend and now I'm a few shades more realistic( not a Geisha), still wont' smile though!
Enjoy the trip and go with the flow!

Like your rock, very elegant! I'll send you a pm with my personal fav rock later!

Fun day, you may want to start with a little glass of wine (just 1 though).
Love the ring, think your mum (as would mine) would love that you wear it

I wrote about my similar adventure here: https://www.crossdressers.com/forums/showthread.php?244397-Three-Plus-Days-of-Dressing&highlight=

Besides your three, I also had my nails done (while in drab). Loved it, and got a great reaction from the nail tech. I also went to a wig shop to buy a new wig.

I was also worried about shopping, so I went in advance (in drab) and asked if it was ok if I came in dressed (the Sephora where I had my makeover was in the same mall where I wanted to go shopping). It has turned out a whole lot better than ok; the sales angels are happy to see me. You can also get lunch and/or dinner. We all gotta eat, right?

Have fun, and document the atrocities with photos....

One other thing; while you are having your makeup done, take written notes. I did and now I can follow the steps in order. It's still a work in progress, but my makeup is more consistent.

HiddenMe,
I'm not sure if writing everything down is going to be possible during the makeover, but I can do video or pics.
Lunch will definitely be happening.
I like the wig that I presently have, and the money I save by not buying a new one will be applied to what I will be shopping for... namely, a pair of yellow patent pumps with a 3 or 4 inch heel.
On Monday I'll be getting my man haircut, then a mani-pedi with bright coral polish.
I hope I can sleep come Monday night.

Going out during the day to me is best, I think it's the most normal part and seems you can blend with the normals much
easier
