Well I went to see my ophthalmologist yesterday and during the course of my exam he expressed concern over glaucoma and optic nerve problems so he prescribed latisse, an eye drop. Being a good doctor he then informed me of side effects. Apparently this product stimulates eyelash growth so in addition to the medicinal benefits I can now look forward to longer and fuller lashes. Hmmmm... maybe I should rub some on my ever expanding bald spot

Sign me up for this. I'd love longer lashes.

Latssie definately works. I have naturally long lashes. My GF uses latisse and decided I should use also. It does work. My lashes are even longer. It looks like I have mascara on when I don't.

It works until you stop taking it. Then everything returns back to normal growth. Hope he gives you a life time supply!!

It does work, as far as I know it is by prescription only and one possible side affect is the changing of ones normal eye color, normally to a darker color like brown.

Let's see. Eye color already brown...check. Glaucoma for 43 years....check. Want longer lashes...check. Send me a prescription.

"...I can now look forward to longer and fuller lashes..."

Like all side effects, it doesn't happen for everyone. After six months my lashes are slightly longer but not any thicher or fuller. My bigger issue is that my lashes are light in color (blonde, grey, white) and any added length is entirely unnoticeable, unless I wear mascara.

Interesting....I'm surprised to learn that Latisse is used in glaucoma treatment. I have very early signs of glaucoma...never thought there could be an upside!

Latisse is a brand name whose active ingredient is the generic drug bimatoprost. Bimatoprost is the drug prescribed by some doctors for glaucoma.
